But looking at the selections, there are some great games listed for NEW PS3 adopters. UC, R&C, and Resistance all for $60? Helluva way to kickstart your library. Sony (really all 3) should do this sale for the entire month of December for greatest hits titles.
2 was/is my favorite as well. Bungie interjected a very mature subject matter, religion, into the story and allowed you to not only play as the villains, but explained their desires and motives. In 2, the Halo universe was given its soul and thereby ended the cheesy "Aliens" cliches I thought the original was plagued with. IMO, It's what separated Halo from every other console FPS at the time.
And at the very least, 2 moved the action from split-screen to MP.
Were you born yesterday?
Remember the time when we actually bought music, you know physical media at brick & mortar stores instead of digital distribution? They tried to censor the products being sold there, requiring an alternate "cleaned up" version to be released alongside the unedited version (that they refused to carry). Wal-mart, the scum they are, tried to use their influence to regulate an entire industry, like they were some retail Nintendo fighting the goo...
Another useless feature aimed squarely at the casual/noob crowd. Why would I waste time on something as trivial as "creating a superguide" when the answer is a keystroke away. I always thought it was about the games with MS, instead they've given me Facebook, Twitter, Avatars, and now Superguides. Almost forgot, next year I get to look forward to Natal too. Thank god Rare was forced to delay/cancel Kameo2 and a PD sequel. Or else I might not get to play Joyride this holiday season. ...
What a birthday gift to well, um...me. The best part of being an adult: I never get stuck with bad presents!
but this time you're COMPLETELY wrong. Know why? There is a small percentage of games that initially load the trophies at the time it's turned on, like Fallout3:GOTY and Star Wars: Ultimate Sith Edition. If you can't sync your trophy list you can't play those games. Happened to one of my closest PSN buds. Sucks when you got an hour to play and the whole time you spend in frustration trying to update your trophy level.
They're lame. For noobs who can't shoot people legitimately, they're included to make the game pick-up-N-play easy so lesser inclined players can get MVPs. Why do you think aim-assist is turned on by default? Rank isn't even determined by skill but playtime. COD4 was a great game for a couple months, then most of us realized it's just a FPSlite for casuals and moved on.
if he didn't blow his cash on bad deals, booze & women...
who prefers gaming on his 360 (at least judging from prior remarks). His phrase is an obvious exaggeration but nonetheless he's complimenting Sony. Is that so hard? As a PS3 biased gamer, when trophies came to fruition, I thanked MS numerous times for introducing the concept of achievements. And no I'm not a A/T whore. What, when all else fails and there's no fanboys to attack, you cannibalize your own kind?
Somewhere, this generation lost sight of what 3rd party status actually means. Great games should be enjoyed by any gamer willing to spend $ for it.
and I thought Zhuk butchered the English language.
Is that why your robe's yellow?
Due to time restraints, they didn't receive either console version for review. But unless one version is gimped, GI said to consider this the definitive score. It also looks to be longer than ME as I believe the game is said to be about 40hrs main questing w/ an additional 30 for all the side quests. You never know how inflated those numbers are, but 70hrs to complete it sounds good.
The biggest con to the game from the review: there is NO permanent item storage in the game. Ever...
This is good for everyone, especially the 360 consumer. I hope more people realize this while they're shoving crow down that idiot Ballmer's throat. Needs to be priced competitively with stand alones so it doesn't become another overpriced, unwanted peripheral though.
You really showed them. Where should I send your medal?
I wish all disagreements here were handled with such civility. +2 Although I agree w/ Kaim (UC 1&2 are my favorites this gen) one can easily make valid claims with any of those games King mentioned. ME is my 2nd favorite new IP. And I loved Bioshock and MGS4. I've always preferred JRPGs to Western ones, but one can't dismiss the quality of offerings by the WRPG devs this gen: Oblivion, Fallout3, ME, and Fable2. And Dragon Age next month, followed by ME2 early next year. Great time to be a...
You're right Joe. Maybe one of us should alert him to this new invention called the DVR too! Then he'll have something for his second official review. C'mon N4G, how did this even get approved?
But didn't ODST's Buck look, sound, and act a lot like Drake? Weird huh I know?
A new IP (RPG too) that's been in development for over 5 years (creating an entire mythos isn't easy you know) versus a rehash of a game that's inherently flawed (auto-aim FPS = epic fail)? Not to mention from one of the pre-eminent WRPG devs responsible for KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect? Methinks XDF is making a good choice. Honestly, I'd drop 2K from the list since it looks like to me they dropped the ball w/ this version (and I'm a partial Cavs season ticket holder).
that would make him a sith bot. Ironic and amusing it's always the "other" fanboys who point out the flaws in each other.
