2 weeks early for 1200 MS points or wait 2 weeks and gameshare it for free?
inFamous (PS3) is better, Crackdown (X360) is better, and Red Faction (multi) is better. I had a friend come over the other night when I was playing Prototype and asked me if I was playing another xbox original. Funny, true, and I haven't played the game since.
I spent at least 15-20 min on the second part of the 1st stage just playing around w/ the swinging mechanic. Once you master the timing it becomes almost second hand like walking. It really is fun, using the arm to explore and move about the map.
After Unwanted and Terminator, I had low expectations considering GRIN also developed this. But the visuals are at least next gen, the script is adequate, voice acting is actually superb, solid framerate, no screen tearing (PS3 version t...
All the comparison articles to inFamous were only beneficial to multi & PS3 owners. To 360 only fans, the redundancy leads to resentment. And PS3 only owners suffered through it 2 years ago when Uncharted released to dozens of Gears comparison articles. Makes no sense if one install base has no way to compare both games.
I completely agree as well with the score for Prototype. The replay factor is zero. Ironically, a friend & I are going through Crackdown right now. Far b...
....to play on the same 7 maps. Surprised /6 even bothered considering they're prepping another underwhelming Socom for the PSP. Hoo-Rah
@5 - just 2 maps? Maybe for free, but I'm greedy and want 2 map packs each w/ 4. I'm beyond sick of desert terrain. Gimme some jungle, arctic, or even some more urban environments. 7 maps is just pathetic.
Like MODERN WARFARE isn't generic as well? Don't even get me started on MAG.
and are guaranteed to feature DLC, I'll purchase the PS3 version because of gamesharing. I got both map packs for KZ2 and COD:WaW for free from friends (a savings of $32). I'll use those 1600 MS points I saved from WaW and snag Shadow Complex and put the rest on 'Splosion Man or Gears2DLC. Gamesharing - so awesome it's something you have to consider.
You're right though, the majority of multi-plats do perform better on the 360. The perceived lack of 1st party support is offset b...
There are 16 challenge maps and the Joker is playable in 8 of them, not all. But he does have his own trophies according to GI.
2009. The year of the super/anti-hero has been a good one. Wolverine, inFamous, Prototype, Batman, and MUA2 should provide any comics fan an abundance of worlds to save/destroy :)
linens & things FTW
I thought I was the only one who had trouble getting that damn shockwave stunt Have a Nice Fall. It's not even hard to do, but if you clear out the Neon and Warren before the stunt appears, then all the Reapers and Dustmen no longer appear in packs on the roof. LOL
First DR, then L4D, now this? Is there something relevant about the number I fail to see? Or is it just a case of two devs making light-hearted fun at Capcom for putting in such an arbitrary number?
Then you obviously haven't played an EA-licensed Nascar game! This renders anything else you say regarding this topic as irrelevant. That was just plain awful.
As for GT5 and Forza, the only thing I find humorous is 360 fanboys mention quality and PS3 fanboys mention sales. I wonder if the irony has dawned on them...
they better optimize that horrible engine. While it provided lush graphics, a choppy framerate and the annoyingly constant screen tearing made the 1st almost a chore to complete. I saw the public unveiling at Sony's press conference and while much improved I still noticed a few technical hiccups.
For all those reasons you stated above. They only need to placate Hollywood and if they can show the movie industry it will be profitable from MS's digital distribution channels, it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
IMO, I think it may be more likely that Nintendo goes BR since piracy is still negligible and BR already owns marketshare versus DVD in Japan.
the Joker actually has his own trophies too. They specifically mentioned shooting 3 guys w/ a single bullet is one of his.
Yeah do yourself a favor and check this out. The demo plays fantastic and it promises a ton of detective (stealth) gameplay. The only negative is waiting til September.
initially I thought that too. But man it grows on ya and I love how you need to gauge distance now to effectively throw quality punches. So no more of your buddies taking Ali and standing toe to toe in the middle of the ring and exchanging inside bombs w/ Frasier. IMO I also think the counter system is better than the parry system of FN3.
After the video review was over, Adam Sessler personally thanked Sucker Punch for releasing what he believed was the best game released so far in 2009. Just his opinion but I think the score would've stayed A 5 out of......5
Did you even research that title before throwing it in to validate your argument? Not only did each version (360/PS3) sell more than NMH, collectively it's nearing 2 million copies sold. So in the process of trying to own the fanboys, you owned yourself :)
You are right about one thing though. On the Wii, 400k sold means that Suda at least made some dough. On the HD consoles, that probably would've bankrupted them.
How much does MS make off each console sold? While I don't doubt they make a small profit off an Elite, I have yet to see anything regarding Pro and Arcade models. You speak as if you have intimate knowledge of their manufacturing process, yet you provide no validation of your assertions. No one ever does.
On topic, good job by Nintendo. The DSi keeps printing money. And here I thought counterfeiting was illegal. Good showing for MS too in its home territory. It just continues to...
I'm sorry but Kushan is right. This game appears to be mediocre at best. Hope I'm wrong since none of us have played it but gameplay-wise, especially in the other videos I've seen, MW looks lethargic and plods along collecting mineral ore at a snail's pace. Battles look generic, almost like a bad clone of Colony Wars that jumped the shark.
Just because it's an exclusive doesn't magically ensure it'll be a great product. (Only here at N4G - where it's more ammunition for the fanbo...
