the OG Castlevania or Mega Man. It's gotten so bad it's to the point whenever I read a review approximating the game's length I immediately add a couple hours to it cause I know the baboon played it on easy.
In addition to those games, March 31st sees the Riddick movies released on Blu and later in April (21st) Posted, the Xmen films get the Blu treatment (not that piss poor version of X:tLS).
but let me use GeOW2 as an example AND comparison since both are TPS with MP issues. Socom was released Oct.14th/GEOW Nov.7th. Socom offers MP only/GeOW2 has SP, co-op SP, co-op Horde, and MP. Socom launched w/ 7 maps, 5 modes/GeOW2 had 10 maps, 7 modes. Number of maps added via DLC: Socom - 0, GeOW2 - 8. Epic has added more maps via DLC than are available in Socom's entire playlist. See where I'm going with this?
Socom launched earlier, offered no SP campaign or co-op modes, had...
IMO Pandemic is one of the most disappointing devs this gen w/ Mercenaries & LotR:Conquest both being mediocre at best.
Maybe some of us quit playing it after /6 nerfed it so bad. And as a LONG time Socom vet, I readily admit its downward spiral started w/ Zipper and the inclusion of vehicles. However, the lag is atrocious at times, the old classic but now completely inefficient control scheme is back (well they hacked the quick select button even worse), no offline yet it launches with 7 measly maps, couldn't even deliver on all the features promised on the back of the box, copied GRAW's perspective and as an...
And so on. Kojima even paid homage to Winback by including Jean-Luc Cougar's dog tag as a collectible in MGS2 Substance.
but to me the biggest gaffe on MS's strategy is they're funding exclusive IPs from 3rd parties but they're not owning the IP itself. As a potential but informed consumer, how does this practice ensure said IPs will remain exclusive with MS? And as Sony's install base grows, how long can MS afford to continue this practice? We've already seen the shift from exclusive IPs to exclusive DLC. Is this a temporary measure to offset the price drop or a paradigm shift instigated by 3rd parties?
What this post DOES prove beyond a shadow of doubt, you're a troll to the Nth degree. Let me get this straight. You bought a 3D0, an Intellivision, the Colecovision, the Genesis, an Atari 5200, the Jaguar, a turboGRAFX, the Game Gear, Sega CD, Virtual Boy, C64, NES, SNES, N64, GC, a DC, the Xbox, the 360, a PS2, a PSP, the Iphone, GB and the DS. And while you bought ALL those (some of that tech was complete garbage btw), you find nothing redeeming on the PS3? Talk about hypocrisy.

was one of the more underrated devs last gen. Like Naughty Dog w/ Uncharted and Insomniac w/ RFOM (both mature themed IPs), I hope these guys come out swinging for the fences with inFamous. I mean the Sly series is as good as the R&C/Jax franchises, but outside of the platforming genre, not many people know of their solid reputation as game makers. I'm really happy Sony allowed their best western devs (Insomniac, ND, and Sucker IMO) to work on new IPs. In hindsight, what seemed like a hea...
Ok Dan Akroyd
Man you love your movies! Don't know what's worse, you alluding to old movies a lot or the fact I know most of 'em!
Well enough of it to know it was inspired by reading Don R.'s worthless and biased FUD. Where's BruceonGames' follow-up FTW? What I can't stand is some no-name wannabe internet programmer trying to tell me a PS3 isn't worth it. No facts included, no jargon, just generalizations from the peanut gallery of years gone by. I have no problem if they prefer the 360. Just don't pretend we're all stuck in a vacuum and this is 2007. Hell, I've already bought more "core" titles for the Wii t...
and thought it was another article from HHG!
It's like that day 10 years ago when in class the professor was teaching Patching101: Quick and Permanent Solutions, all of /6 decided to play hookey!
So you're telling me the PS2 launched a year before the Dreamcast was released?
Wow, I guess you do learn something new everyday.
I think an RTS is a perfect extension to the FPS franchise since Bungie meticulously crafted an entire mythos from a usually story-line devoid genre. **SPOILER** They skewed the lines between good and evil, injected moral dilemmas and religion into the plot, and even had players forming alliances with the Flood for self-preservation.
And I have no problem w/ GS having a midnight launch. I'm just disappointed as a HUGE RTS fan this a sophomoric effort that falls short of expectati...
One doesn't necessarily have to own multiple consoles to be fair-minded and honest. As long as you recognize all the systems are providing a wealth of great experiences in gaming right now, you're absolutely correct. And each console has a significant library that can satisfy any gamer so yes I completely agree for the unbiased gamer one system may be enough. Bubbles for the point and the post.
There's a difference between stupidity and ignorance. Most trolls are both (stupidity + ignorance - common sense = fanboy). Being a multi-console owner removes ignorance from the equation at least. I don't mind valid criticism as long as the person is informed. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a cure for stupidity.
@HDgamer - you didn't just say that Tyson is better than the GOAT, did you? I'll be over to bite your ear off and eat your children :)
Try aiming 6 inches lower - that's her belly button :)
This and the fact Activision actually greenlighted an original IP gives me optimism this will be a good game. I know the glove according to GI has 4 powers that are upgradeable - was hoping to see the rapid age advancement on a soldier in the trailer (think Indiana Jones and the goon that drank from the wrong holy grail in the Last Crusade).
Even if you're so upset with it, you can always sell it to recoup the money. Depending on the size of your library and accessories, a 60 gig model should still fetch a decent price. Keep it if you still like all the exclusive software Sony offers. There's no wrong answer here. You've already taken the emotional hit when it died and from the time you call to getting a refurbished one, the process will take under 10 business days.
