I'd wait and see if Sony themselves release a launch anniversary bundle (for lack of a better description). Something like a KZ/Infamous plus 30days free PS+ bundle would be nice since they're both 1st party IPs that feature DLC to offset their inclusion. I see Knack being PS+'s big holiday freebie.

If not, wait for the great holiday deals retailers will try to entice you with.

"hey it's Nintendo they don't deserve money for making good games"

If it doesn't come to the West, then yeah they don't.

Hopefully, it comes to PSN and Live. The achievements on the Steam version (45 total) provide a ton of replay value. They're difficult too, just like the game, so a platinum trophy or a 1000pts added to your Gamerscore would be an accomplishment.

Oh, but you have to. It's the "ForTza Horizon for the PS"

how about all those "grass counters" from last gen? Maybe XB1 fans will discover why it didn't matter to the PS fans last gen and hopefully apply the same indifference this gen.

That's because you're not completely offbase. The Portal IP uses liquid physics to solve puzzles, including if I'm not mistaken, an orange liquid that increases speed to make otherwise inaccessible jumps. The squid mechanic of swimming underneath the liquid isn't that much different than gliding over it in Portal since the end result is the same, speed and reaching out of reach areas.

Agreed. It looks like a fun game, but I wonder how quickly the novelty wears off. I was already tired of seeing that same map over and over from the Treehouse stream. I was critical of the low player counts in TitanFall so I must be consistent here as well. Hopefully, they announce a Powerstone mode with bigger maps and 4 teams of 4vs4 gameplay. That would make for some insane action and add a lot more strategy to the IP without comprimising its artistic vision.

Both Shadow and Inquisition launch on Oct. 7? Damn, might as well throw a party and launch Lords of the Fallen too. I was hoping one of these three joins Witcher 3 in 2015.

Ha did you really just take a jab at Sony for this lame ass update from MS? Yeah, Micro, thanks for turning my iPhone into a 4th remote for my TV. It's just what I needed!

Maybe MS should've updated the console so I could've played Max or Halo last night (99% lulz). Or sped up physical installs so no one else is forced to stand by an imaginary wall in-game while the console finishes. 2007 called and Sony wants its OS back!

EDIT: nvm, just saw the article's update and realised my point was null and void

The whole complaint of cross-gen is stupid to begin with. Frankly, I laugh at console rubes that think these multiplatform companies should cater to a platform with the lowest install base.

Mad because publishers are holding back giving you the best possible version of a game just so they can sell it to the masses? Pfft. Welcome to the world of PC gaming.

I'm really bummed about that too. Wish they would've given W101 as an option instead. At least you got Pikmin 3. Mario Party is the only one I don't own, and that isn't gonna change anytime soon.

Ha I had to read it because of your post. Just terrible.

"And it still sells in large volume on Xbox and Steam as well."

Just sad.

agreed amigo, the plug N play nature of consoles has always been a primary reason for owning them over a PC rig. But it has absolutely no bearing on why some console gamers have grown to resent indie titles. I would even argue that the indie scene is just as largely responsible for the resurgence in PC gaming as the elongated duration of the 7th console generation was.

4266d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

no offense but I find your logic flawed. PC will always be the best platform for ANY multiplatform game. Whatever your reason; modding, forward compatibility, or cheaper pricing, PC versions will always trump their console counterparts.

Indie games are the one exception where visual discrepancies & performance are muted. Don't Starve on the PS4, for example, performs almost identical to its PC counterpart at 1080p. Sure, in games like Minecraft we might get smaller sa...

Don't even get me started on that. Lucas even wasted the superlative acting talent of Christopher Lee, in the SAME fashion.

Ya know sometimes when I come to N4G it feels like I'm in a goddamn episode of the Twilight Zone.

This is one of those times.

I'm just saying that I thought, like many of the users here, during the 360's lifecycle Kinect was garbage. Coming into this gen, I had harbored negative suspicions that history was repeating itself and its inclusion with the console was simply due to the fact MS knew it wouldn't sell as a peripheral again. But to my astonishment I like how Kinect2.0 was integrated. When you use it for awhile it really becomes apparent the console was designed with it in mind. Those who had privac...

wow double post after others already posted?

I agree. I hate Kinect as a gaming peripheral, but enjoy its non-gaming applications. MS should've just ate the $100 difference and sold it as a loss for the year. Gamers who hate the camera could've just shoved it in a drawer.

Like a poster on Eurogamer typed, "great a month ago I could've bought an XB1 with Kinect and a digital copy of Titanfall for 350 pounds. Now they sell me one without either for the same 350 pounds."
