If you never played this before and like the old REs, especially Nemesis, you're in for a real treat. Best thing is you can't attack at all, just explore and run for cover. I would also recommend playin it on the hardest difficulty too as the default setting almost breaks the stealth mechanic in the game. You can't slosh through water without the AI hearing you for example, so you have to pick your hiding spots very carefully.
I don't quite understand people b...
That's why I try to refrain from fanboyism; everything in life is cyclical and comes back to you two-fold. Just in this thread alone:
"MAYBE side by side you MIGHT notice a slight difference between the two games, but if you're just playing one or the other, there is NOTHING to whine about...[play it]instead of turning into an elitist hipster number nazi."
"Fact is there is way more to these consoles than resolution and fps."
nope mystic, original xbox outsold the gamecube by 2 million, 24 to 22 mil respectively. Ironically, the "core" gamer abandoned Nintendo long before Ninty likewise, did the same.
Why wait though and release a trilogy on next gen consoles? I'd much rather see ports of the 1st two games on PSN/XBL before the 3rd comes out. Build momentum and hype for a great IP & maximize its earning potential by allowing console gamers access to the early ones first! CDR could outsource the ports. It's almost criminal to see the lifetime numbers of the franchise given its quality.
Square is doing the same thing with Kingdom Hearts 3 on XB1. Nintendo and Se...
With that wall of text you should get your facts straight. Kaz didn't OVERSEE the PS3. Howard Stringer was at the helm of Sony. Ken Kutaragi designed the PS3 and oversaw the Playstation division. Both are gone, so yes they were forced to step down.
See, unlike Nintendo, every other company holds executives accountable for their egregious mistakes. In fact, most people credit Kaz with the PS3's turnaround. The Vita is his albatross. If you're going to criticize the...
I can't help but be reminded of Macklemore and think, "damn that's a cold ass honkey"
It won't. PC and Steambox only worst case scenario. Valve isn't stupid enough to alienate 75 million PC users.
It happens everywhere.
Sony - fired Nobuyuki Idei in 2005. Ken Kutaragi forced to step down in 2007. Howard Stringer resigned in 2012. I can't even begin to list all the executives fired at Sony's non-gaming divisions in the last 15 years. Kaz has had the job less than 2 years so it's a bit premature to axe him.
MS - hard to fire the guys who launched the Xbox considering they're already gone; Blackley, Allard, Bach, Thomason, Fries, and Moore...
Ahh yes the tin foil conspiracies rear their ugly head again. First it was N4G, then NeoGAF. It's some kind of virus sweeping through people's minds (like the an episode of the Walking Dead). Then Eurogamer, mighty Edge also fell. It's becoming an epidemic so it must be real. Now IGN and probably even MS's facebook page too, judging from the number of times they've erroneously showed PS4 footage. They must've been hijacked by the SDF. Oh my god the humanity!!

"I'd rather keep it for the odd occasion I want to play a PS3 game in the future or a BluRay player for another room."
Exactly. The two best reasons to KEEP a PS3. I used to laugh at Sony's ridiculous notion of the PS3 being "futureproof". Ha more PR rubbish like the rubber ducky in the bathtub tech demo. But them s.o.b.s were right. From blu-ray to free online to its media capabilities, it retains a ton of value in the 8th gen. Cash-strapped gamer...
I think it's because the software needs patching to work with the PS3 gamepad. You just can't plug N play your library on it yet. Also one of the main selling points of the device, off TV PS4 remote play obviously isn't available till February.
I'll say it again with disagrees, I believe it should've released with a PS4 controller included. Even if that meant another $20 added to the price tag. The trackpad/clicker, the built-in speaker and headset/mic po...
Why? Mike Stout didn't even refute it, just said "that report is based off really really old info". Did you see him call it an outright lie? Or say it was inaccurate? No, I saw the Eurogamer article and took away 3 things from it; the 6 months leading up to ANY platform launch is chaotic, they have no clue about online gaming, and more importantly Nintendo looks at 3rd parties as "fillers" to a platform's library. So please do tell why these assumptions are false. ...
It will. MS, just like the other 2, have embraced a dual platform approach. I see the 360 being sold side by side the XB1 for at least 2 years. Factor in another couple of years of annualized software like Madden and Just Dance; to me it's a no-brainer. Back in February, it was reported nearly a third of all American households were still using analog TVs (113 million) so there is a significant portion of consumers yet to upgrade.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to ...
But that's not the point. Better AI, in the absence of human controlled avatars, is a welcome addition to any game. However, that ISN'T the case here. It's a game mechanic designed to entice non-skilled players to keep playing. This is essentially Respawn's answer to Dice's class system in BF (medic packs and ammo satchels provide extra XP). Cannon fodder AI isn't needed in an online FPS/TPS. Am I supposed to be swayed by the illusion of a grand battle all around me?
haha he almost got shot too. classic socom, gettin teabagged dancing on a dead body!
Metacritic is an accumulation all right. An accumulation of opinions. Nothing more. Usually from a bunch of pretentious twenty year olds who are too young to know the difference between Pac-man and Karnov and too stupid to look it up. It only takes a few duffel bags, helmets, and other goodies to bloat the score.
I say hell with the PS3 controller. It should've included a DS4. It's far better equipped to mimic the Vita anyway. It would've been a nice way to let Japanese gamers get their hands on the new controller early
Completely agree on both points; infrastructure ATM couldn't handle the volume of a digital download-only industry and 500GB IS a paultry amount for a platform aiming to rid itself of physical mediums.
I would've already owned a XB1 if it had DVR functionality (really the whole point of the TV focused nonsense if you ask me) and a 2TB HDD inside.
Steam taught me the most important lesson in the video game industry as a consumer. Lorne Lanning, of Oddworld fame, confirmed it. PATIENCE. Really no point to day 1 buys anymore, especially digital downloads. Devs make more off us paying $5-15 en masse than they do when we sporadically purchase day 1 content at $60.
This also carries over to the console realm and their physical mediums. This past Xmas, for my 12 yr old, he got Zelda:LttP for $25, Tearaway $20, Kingdom Heart...
"Lets hope its like the first game and not the second!"
Let's hope MS gives Ruffian more than 9 months to make it this time. I picked up 2 on the cheap; it would've been better suited as an expansion rather than a sequel due to the time constraints. Still, C1 was a fantastic co-op experience and made achievement collecting fun for millions.
