PLATFORM BREAKDOWN TO...
they're all bad. The Phony Bronies, Xtwats, Wiitards, and the Blackbeards. All the same. All try to ruin the fun for normal folk.
Sony should include 3-6 months of PS+ free with every PS4 purchased. Great way to get the services into customers' hands & it also helps to mitigate costs at launch, knowing he/she has 90-180 days to re-up their subscription. Not as nice as a free game but could entice people looking at the bottom line to jump ship/remain onboard.
spot on observation. The Spy who Cloned Me was similar to Bioshock 2's DLC; it was superior to the base game! That was all Gearbox. With DNF, they just cleaned up the mess of 3D Realms, who apparently thought they could party like Nolan Bushnell and STILL make games.
I wont forgive the travesty of Aliens though.
you're a gamer. end of. You touched upon the only difference between casual and core: time spent. Doesn't matter if you play several types of games or only one. 5 hours a day playing soccer games is hardcore amigo. I couldn't do it.
My buddy and I watched his daughter play some Barbie horse game on her DS. We tabulated that she spent nearly 100 hours playing it the first month. That little girl is hardcore! I seriously doubt anyone here could put that many hours ...
it depends Gold. I own that exact model in my den. If you're not a big fan of 3D (I am!) then it's overkill. I also have a 52" Sammy series 7 (1080p@120mHz) in the living room. For gaming & standard blu-ray, it's a great set too and a far less expensive option. Why spend the the extra $300 for a feature you might never use?
nope....but you have to admit, sharing has a better ring to it than "console exclusive"
Most of those announcements like the Atlus acquisition, Shenmue and TLG would make more sense and have a far greater impact at TGS.
A lot of people here like to laugh at MS's failure in Japan, but I find it admirable they keep trying. All the $ invested early on to secure Japanese content. It just didn't make a difference sadly. Judging by the size of the Xbox 1 it seems they're not even counting on Japan to provide any substantial numbers.
Yes, N4G, I'm a bigger fan of consoles, not handhelds/mobile, so I don't derive pleasure from seeing ANY console fail in Japan. I was hoping the Wi...
I have yet to purchase ANYTHING digitally for either my 3DS or WiiU because of this exact reason. No unified account no buy. It's nice on any other device I own to have the ability to uninstall an IP, and reinstall it down the road to replay it as I see fit. Some games, usually bought during Steam sales, haven't been installed at all.
Point is, just like Microsoft tried to do, Nintendo is taking a physical retail approach to digital content; while reaping the benefit...
Yep I think the fundamental flaw in Kinect is they haven't figured out 3D movement in space. Kinect needs a Nunchuk/Navigator peripheral for core games. Dance, fitness, and children's entertainment IPs are fine as is, but a horror survival game like Amnesia could be awesome with it.
Kinect controls camera sway via head tracking (thus no need of a second stick) & interactions with objects like turning a doorknob in virtual space. A quick depress of a button on the...
Aye but there's also the possibility that the game could benefit from an all platforms release; the mobile platforms could drive down cost for console gamers and traditional platforms could provide extra content for iOS/Android users. Retro games like Square's FF are ok and newer games like Bastion prove mobile platforms can distribute more traditional gameplay than just Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.
I'd have no problem with this if the Vita and 3DS were part of the launch strategy. I'm completely platform agnostic when it comes to third party. So I have increasingly grown to question this gen why companies, particularly the Japanese ones, treat EVERY game like its an exclusive? Limiting the accessibility of your audience limits the opportunities of it reaching its potential.
when over 1/2 your post is CAPS LOCK you know you got a problem. Calm down, take a deep breath, and step away from the keyboard. You'll thank me later
Lady Ga-Ga's fanbase went batshit on Kelly Osbourne for an indiscriminate remark last year. The magazine CG just had a run-in with One Direction's teenyboppers over their spread. You guys wanna good laugh, head over there and read the comments by 14-15 yr old girls. They make gamers look tame.
Sad world we live in but this is what happens when parents let the internet, youtube, and facebook raise their children.
Good read sir. Agree 100% with the piece; unfortunately, this is one of those Utopian pipedream versus stark reality moments. Look at all the insinuations coming from the hate fish camp. If we support the notion of integrity in journalism then of course we're Fish apologists. People let their personal opinion of him cloud their judgement and ignore the greater issue at hand. I neither liked his views nor purchased Fez but at the end of the day, it was shoddy journalism 1, developers -1, a...
Finally a petition worth signing. I LOVE video games and can't fathom something so simple isn't already in place to help people circumvent a handicap; same goes for color blindness. Always sad to see when the bottom line is more important than doing the right thing.
Aye I agree with you both. The Colour Out of Space, The Lurking Fear, Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn & His Family, Dagon and many others were all excellent horror fantasy stories and a damn shame they're buried under the symbolic visage of Cthulhu; even though many of his tales contributed to the Mythos.
I would also recommend if anyone likes horror fantasy to check out Algernon Blackwood, MR James, Arthur Machen, and Ambrose Bierce.
+1 well said amigo. Even their worst game, C2, looked fantastic with Maldo's and Blackfire's mods running.
People have unrealistic expectations. They complained the gameplay was no longer open world. To that end I say no shit Sherlock, it's New York City, not an island in the South Pacific. What did ya want to do - enter ANY skyscraper with 10 thousand plus rendered office rooms and stare at old PCs on every floor? It's a videogame, not a Holodeck from Star...
Granted it's a port, but there was a MH on PS3 in Japan. While good on paper, the Ninty-Capcom deal really hasn't positively affected Capcom's IPs. No MH (3 of them now on various Ninty devices) has even come close to the numbers of MH on PSP. RE:Revelations sold so far under expectations they had to re-release it on PC and consoles.
I can see TitanFall 1 staying exclusive to XB1 like Dead Rising 1 but I don't see this being another Gears. EA is a mega publish...
