Guess the license reverted back to Disney from Activision? Same thing happened over the summer to the Bond games on Steam too.

The difference is nobody is buying them. And said listed software isn't helping the situation. It NEVER helped the N64, the Gamecube, and it certainly isn't helping the WiiU. Most of the 1st party software is clearly aimed at the wrong demographic on HD consoles. Where is the serious Zelda like the tech demo we watched a year ago? Where is a new Starfox? Where is Metroid? Oh I forgot DK sold 6 million on the Wii so Nintendo is keen on milking the IP with a 3DS port and another ...

Whoever said the launch software was awesome though? Where did I even say this? Taking the launch into CONTEXT it WAS a decent launch lineup, followed by announcements that re-affirmed people's hope in future software. Just like people do/did with Sony 's home consoles. No need to harp on the lack of 1st party titles because I ALREADY mentioned it. They were completely unprepared for developing HD content and it showed. Nintendo had a knee jerk reaction to the 3DS floundering initiall...

@ Fez - where does it say "only in Russia" though? I just re-read the article and no where does it even imply that. The issue isn't about a retail mark up, it's about an official distributer withholding shipments to retailers so they can gouge Russian PS fans on their own website.

Instead of insinuating that anyone who doesn't fathom this concept is the typical, overbearing teenager from America, maybe Kos-mos should question why it's apparently ok i...

3DS to WiiU is an apples to oranges comparison though. Nintendo tried to gouge its loyal customers by overcharging for the 3DS. It always had the software, and more importantly, 3rd party support. The price was the only impediment to success.

Nintendo doesn't enjoy the same level of support on consoles. It doesn't have the built-in advantages the 3DS has enjoyed from being the undisputed king of handhelds for the last 20 years. There are already 3 cheaper consoles on...

That's a tough call. Having played every killzone, I'll first rank them according to my preference so you can compare it to your own and go from there; KZ2, Mercenary, KZ3, KZ:SF, KZ1, Liberation.

SINGLEPLAYER: I did find the campaign a little phoned in, like they seemingly borrowed some of the plotlines from Mercs yet mismanaged its pacing. The voice acting was uninspired and is the game's biggest failing. Like COD Ghost, the premise was there for a great script...

"I don't want a Crash game by Activision."

I wouldn't worry amigo. Knowing Activision's MO, he'll probably end up in the next Skylanders game - as DLC

don't fret mate. I've purchased the last 4 gaming devices day 1 from Nintendo and Sony (The 3DS, Vita, WiiU, and PS4). Each one works great! Just purchase the extended warranty if it eases your mind.

@ brutal or anyone else going to Target

Dopey associates there mislabeled Knack for $39.99. So I bought it separately this morning and grabbed another game in the b2g1 free deal. I'd call your local Target and check to see if they corrected the price yet. Might be worth a trip on someone's lunchbreak to save an extra $20

I don't care about the fanboy wars either but I gotta admit we're all typing counterpoints in a COD article for Pete's sake! A game that nearly everyone on N4G acts like it's a pariah 11 out of the 12 months of the year - now we're all going goonie gaga over its shortcomings? Hilarious.

I'm not dismissing your link, but did you notice 2 things about it? A) He spent more time in the load outs section than he did playing it; only 1 match by his own admis...

then wait till next year. You'll get a price drop most likely before Halo anyway. Back in 2006 I was worried about the PS3's durability and scoffed at the $600 price tag. BAM! 6 months and a price drop later, my fears were allayed and became a happy owner of a PS3 phat.

Plus you'll get to see what software was worth buying at launch and get it on the cheap.

"They are good for kids and teenagers or others that don't have very much money or technical knowledge."

Oh please, you're so misinformed I don't know where to begin; other than pull your pants up your elitism is showing. Maybe you're just trolling and I fell for it. Yeah that's it, has to be.

I'm neither a kid nor a teenager, neither poor nor technologically deficient, and guess what I'm buying a console day 1. Why? Drum...

"Praying that it's not broken mess like BF3 was."

wow and here I thought my friends & I were the only ones who thought BF3 jumped the shark. I even built my rig for it (probably why I spew such vitriol about it). Lets hope DICE succeeds this time despite EA's usual interference!

Not entirely accurate. My wife works for one of the biggest corporations in the world and she had to agree in writing as a condition of employment that she wouldn't buy any competitor's goods. She can be terminated if found doing so. A friend of mine runs the Pepsi bottling warehouse in Columbus; while it's frowned upon concerning the hourly workers, he can absolutely be fired for buying ANY Coca Cola products.

Think of it this way though, if the Vita only sells 30 million lifetime because the VTV goes on to sell 50 million, that's still 80 million in the total pot to a software developer. That's good for everyone regardless of what device they actually own.

@eggnog - I would imagine just like VCRs did back in the 80s and 90s. You have an input and an output. You didn't need to have the VCR always turned on to watch TV back then unless your set couldn't pick up channels past 13.

XB1 is designed to have cable boxes plugged in; forcing consumers to turn on their XB1 in order to watch TV would be momumentally short-sighted.
These consoles are vampiric so they're always going to be "on" in some capacity ...

I'll be doing something quite similar - rent it on PS3 now, buy the PC version when it's $10-15 at next year's Xmas sale.

ALL PC gamers play 1080p and above? Haha stop talking bullshit brah :P Everytime I check out a game on sale on Steam, there's always a half-dozen posts from morons wondering why their pre-built garbage with Intel HD graphics can't run the game they just bought! Come November 22nd, these machines will be the new basement, not consoles.

Don't you remember he's the moron who got all the Nintendo fanboys excited for 1080p60fps games before the WiiU launched? Then he had to eat crow when the launch games came out. He's too busy happily squealing around in his own slop to notice Nintendo has already shown with their 2014 IPs why one shouldn't fret over launch titles.
