Whilst I will enjoy (as long as it's good) the game at 30fps, you're not wrong about 60fps being great.
I'm enjoying the remaster more because of it. Hopefully next-gen sees 60fps as standard.
Exactly! There's no such thing as 'zombie fatigue' anymore than there is gun, fantasy, strategy, medieval or sci-fi fatigue.
I think it's just been cool for people to complain about 'zombie fatigue' for the past 10 years.....yes, 10 years. Yet they still get made. People don't like it? Go play something else, simple.
Not to mention that it doesn't even have to be zombies for them to complain, just something that resem...
@naruga
Yeah, I'm sure core gameplay will be great and that's all I care for. However, I do hope the 'cringe' will be kept to a minimum and won't feel like Druckmann is giving me a preachy, political correctness lecture every time a cutscene takes place.
I chuckled at the muscly woman comment too. It's a hard world out there in The Last of Us, just finding food is difficult. Anavar and other steroid compounds though? Plenty abo...
A great game is a great game so the Last of Us needs to stand out from other games by being, you guessed it, great. Simple really.
I'm sick of hearing people talking about zombies like it's a problem to be overcome from a design point of view. In fact, some sites and critics seem to be so haughty, pseudo-intellectual and obsessed with the idea of 'zombie fatigue' that they include any game with enemies/monsters that used to be human. Clickers aren't z...
Agree completely. We need more voices like yours before we end up in some kind of Inquisitorial 21st Century governed by political correctness; some would say we're already there.
People will end up saying what they think they're expected to, rather than what they actually think and keeping everything else for behind closed doors. Sounds fun, eh?
@rainslacker
'If people don't want that to be the way forward, then they need to stop agreeing to the terms set forth by these companies.'
You're not wrong there.
My kids are adults and I haven't a clue what you mean by this comment; what big difference are you talking about? As @Casepb said, it's just cultural so trying to rationalise it is difficult.
You're saying kids know violence is wrong in real life because it's illegal so no need to worry about it influencing them. However, boobs aren't illegal IRL so it's important kids are kept away from such media because they won't understand boobs are.....wr...
As long as it's more supernatural and less Quantum Break ;)
@Vanfernal
You're right, it's a cast iron case here with regards to the hate speech but that's not the point I'm trying to make.
The question here is whether it's correct to ban him from his paid games that are offline/single player? I don't think so, no matter how much an arse this guy is. From a moral perspective, what a person does offline in their own house with things they've paid for, digital or otherwise, Tos or otherw...
"Aww. So the racist *sshole lost access to the content he bought.....We're not talking that he called someone who identifies themselves as a gender fluid avocado toast by the wrong pronoun."
I can't speak for @johndoe11211 but I'm guessing he's feels the same way I do.
Let's get the ToS nonsense out the way first. If Sony have that in their terms then they are within their rights to do what they did. Big deal. That's n...
@johndoe11211
"seeing that you can't use obscene language on a real sports field either."
I take it you never watch soccer? ;)
Couldn't agree more.
Suspending online game access temporarily is fine, everyone has the right to play a game without being subjected to racist abuse.
Banning access to their offline/single player digital library? Is that what has happened? I didn't even know that was a thing. Completely wrong imo.
Lastly, I was going to come here to say a big problem is that the criteria for what is considered 'hate speech' is gettin...
@gamingunited
I'm not sure you've been given correct info there.
They said CP would be the first AAA game to be released out of the two games planned to be released by 2021. So unless they're releasing two AAA's in one year then CP is 2020 latest, I think. The consensus on the forums is first quarter 2020 or May latest.
They said it's the companies biggest E3 ever, so I'd imagine a release date will be ment...
@savedsynner
Yeah, I felt that too. Like his arm suddenly grows 5 feet at the end of the attack.
It's only certain attacks though so I just made sure I kept further away, but it was irritating since it meant I couldn't get in to punish.
People want 4k at a solid 60fps with graphics that are noticeably better than current gen so yeah, they're necessary.
Oh come on, we're talking about characters here, not appearances. How about someones er, you know, CHARACTER being the thing that gives them character, rather than the colour of their skin or whether they've got horns? Sheesh, how shallow are people getting?
Also, the trouble with using one of the alien races is that you risk putting people off. Not everyone thinks Twi'leks are awesome, as unbelievable as that may seem to the writer, let alone a Mon Calamari....
I feel sorry for her but it's interesting to see her so understanding about single player games.
In spite of previous comments, she now seems to believe AAA games can be single player and profitable and that there's a clear desire for them. That's a bit of a shift from saying they're unsustainable and going to be a thing of the past.
Not, it isn't.
Games in the style of Souls are hardly ubiquitous. Why tell experts at a genre to go make something other devs already do plenty of?
It had some quality to it, though I have yet to go back and finish it having got about thirds through. Glad it worked out for them.
No, muscle-bound lesbians! ;)
