Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Would love to play on pc at 60fps, but I'll get it on PS4 rather than wait.
However, all your common sense and rationality is lost in these comments sections, imho. Fanboys are too hard-line to like the idea that what could be a groundbreaking title might appear on another platform. You'd think they'd just be happy it won't come to Xbox (if they really have to have their console war), but no, they get all insecure and prote...
I fully expect it to come to PC based on previous Kojima quotes but, assuming it reviews well, I'll get it on PS4 since I don't wanna wait for it.
Yeah, I would prefer to play at 60fps but if it's a really groundbreaking title, I want it at launch.
Good to see another game from those guys, will definitely pick it up at some point.
No way they'll want to miss out on sales from the current PS4 userbase.
Also, if it was PS5 only, then it'd look even better and run at 60fps.
There could easily be a PS5 enhanced version though and I would expect one of those enhancements to be 60fps, like the Last of Us remaster.
If they wanted to hide it, they wouldn't show it at all.
It's more likely they'll either do what they did last year, release behind closed doors, build hype then release to the wider public a few months later OR
the game is still far from the release date so they don't feel the need to show anything online since there are still lots of changes to come. Which would be a shame. Many on their forums were still hoping for a November release....
The Surge was a real surprise for me. Loved it.
Felt so similar to Dark Souls in terms of exploration. What's around the corner? Should I go back and cash in my xp or see if the shortcut back to the save point is around the corner? Had a very interesting upgrade system too, very flexible with plenty of variety. Also enjoyed the way you obtain new schematics and the final blow mechanic.
Like Dark Souls, the combat also had a good, heavy weight t...
To be fair, is was a half-decent action game that could be played co-op and had lots of content. If it had been made by a different company and been named something other than Resident Evil, if wouldn't have been hated the way it was and would have ended up being remembered as an ok game.
Also, it came out quite a while ago now and it's been on sale incredibly cheap many times on Steam.
Damn, still the got the first one in my backlog :s
The article is stupid to be sure.
However, I have to admit that I myself played GTA Vice City and System Shock 2 with my 12 year old nephew back in the day, hehe. He loved it, but maybe I failed my responsible uncle exam during that time?
It's ok though, he went on to get a degree in film and now runs a small hotel. He's perfectly normal, apart from the compulsive car stealing and constant need to walk around with a wrench but hey, nobody is per...
Funny thing is, so many journos these days believe the police are just racists in uniform that they'd never worry about murdering them in a game. A journalist however? Ban this sick filth!
Love it :)
What's worse is the tone of the comments replying to the tweet.
Things like, 'What's wrong with the world?', 'They should be arrested for death threats, like when you threaten the President', 'This is a harrowing story, gives me chills', 'Well, we all know what demographics of gamers play this sort of game'.
'pseudo intellectual elite'. Think that fits better ;)
Games made your company install security doors and guards? Really? You sure it wasn't pretty much 100% down to terror incidents and nutjobs in real life instead?
There is absolutely no reason for this game's level to be an issue in any shape or form unless you also want to remove violent content from games that pertains to anyone of any civilian/non-combatant distinction. If that's the case, why stop at games? Movies, music, books, it all needs to change.

Eh? Fictional depictions of journalists can't get fictionally assassinated in works of fiction? Why's that exactly?
It's a game that, for me, took a little while to get used to for four reasons, with the middle two being the most important.
1: The bike seems a bit funny in the handling department, but that's intentional since part of the game is upgrading it and enjoying the feeling of how it improves.
2: Shooting melee based creatures is incredibly awkward to start with. I think this is also intentional since they want you to feel vulnerable when getting assa...
SS and SS2 are in my top games of all time list. Challenging, atmospheric, engrossing, thoughtful...they were simply incredible, staggering games in their depth of vision and achievement.
Really hope they can bring some of that magic to this sequel, though so much time has gone and we've had the Bioshocks since, so it'll be tough to recapture the innovation and brilliance.
I think one of the important things will be to make sure you don't hol...
I know, how more haughty could this guy get?
Also, his 'bias of expertise' could more accurately be called 'bias of familiarity' or 'bias of workload'.
He's basically saying that reviewers can't tell what the games playing public will enjoy because they've gotten to the point where playing games of a certain genre is a chore.
Well, how helpful can their opinion be then? Games are made for players who...
Yeah, critics might sway first week sales but word of mouth gets momentum going in the weeks after.
You'd beg for a port too if you enjoyed 60fps.
