too bad the current gen "satellite scan" is so much crappier than the last gen one...
The game is too casual for a mystery game for me. The whole case solving experience boils down to walk around the room and check everything that gives you a rumble/ audio cue.
IMHO the game should've been in first person, eliminate the cues and make the evidence finding a lot more involved. That way the mystery solving will be more close and personal and rewarding.
That analogy doesn't really apply here. People's taste in music is very diverse and cannot be generalized. For gamers on the other hand, the trend is in general leaning more and more towards casual experiences.
The music industry is also a lot more about passion while the game industry is about profit. Your publisher has a lot more say in what games you make than your record label has in what music you make.
But alas we're already starting to see ...
The rear touch pad on the Vita is made in such a way so that it could be used in conjunction with the front touch screen. wouldn't make much sense with a TV console controller.

I was talking from more of a competitive multiplayer point of view. Most PC multiplyer games even console ports to PC remove any aim assist in multiplayer, which gamepad aiming relies on quite heavily.
"...hopes to keep Fiona fragging with the desktop kiddies." not gonna happen in games like starcraft and shooters, not without a mouse and keyboard.
Yes I can totally imagine having to walk up to my TV and touching the icons to navigate the menus...
This technology is highly impractical for a game like Skyrim which is heavily dynamic in nature. Remember, every different character have to be recorded with a different actor, and every line in the game has to be recorded by their respective actor, both of which is abundant in Skyrim. That's not even counting all the different things they say based on variables such as the player's race, story progress, gender, faction, attire, status(s), stats, etc etc.

Whats this fascination with this technology? It looks realistic sure, but technologically speaking its primitive. There is no dynamicity. everything is basically prebaked.
On top of that the faces are shot with such low resolution cameras when played on the PC everyone's faces looked like blobs compared with everything else.
Except it really isn't communism. It's just what happens when you let corporations do whatever they want, which is really just the ugly side of capitalism.
Funny you should ask, because I think I know which one your talking about. I happened to have read that article too and I have a deeper impression of it. But no, it isn't the same article. The other one was basically a complaint to the reviewer while this one is a deeper look into the similarities and differences between men and women.

Oh yes it does look bad, it looks like nothing but a reskin of sumo's(developer of this game) F1 2009 for the PSP and Wii. That game's handling felt waaaaay wrong, and it looks like it'll be the same way with this one.

unfortunately in today's gaming industry its not about how awesome the things are that people are coming up with. It's about how much money the publishers are making, and unfortunately, good mod tools cut into the profit DLC's return.
