nope they had m16s
That's the way it was in BF2. Support class gave out ammo. Medic was it's own class though.
yea well they do have crazy customer support, i mean if you drop one and break it, they'll replace it for you free of charge. in other words to get ur money's worth, break a couple of them.
Wow is this kind of feature so major it needs to be "revealed?" This is the kinda stuff modders have been modding into their games years before...
Why the F*CK is a police air support chopper with a fully automatic weapons shooting lethal rounds at an unarmed street racer??
I thought FC2 was gonna have some decent narrative and immersion when I was playing through the beginning bit, then look what happened. Hopefully FC3 wont be the same way and carry the immersion and story telling all the way through.
It's still not quite crysis 1 graphics...
Emotional narrative would be BiA's old approach to war.
doesn't take much to figure out.
I think all the hating has more to do with how much of a discouragement it is to the developers when they spend a huge amount of effort and resources into making something and having it outsold by something else that has minimal effort put into it.
That's kinda the point of the commander mode. It shouldn't be a popular feature.
Also I think more specialized kits encourage teamwork more. Which is a big part of Battle Field Too bad the current generation of gamers who grew up on CoD can't coordinate well at all and need one man do it all kits. No matter what, Project Reality gives much more satisfying teamplay, nothing's gonna top it, not BF2 vanilla, certainly not BFBC2, and not Bf3 if it indeed isn't gonna i...
I agree. I don't really care whether or not it beats Call of Duty. I think it should focus on keeping all the things that made BF2 so special. Trying to "popularize" can sometimes mean "casualize/simplify" and loosing a lot of those things, which BFBC2 already started to show symptoms of and my gut tells me BF3's gonna share some of those symptoms. only 4 player classes, no commander mode, no mod tools(I'm dying to play Project Reality BF3), no commo rose, etc....
battlefield 2, socom, rainbow 6, razor unit, etc, etc
People wont hate it if it doesn't get intoxicated with power and start with yearly churn-outs with minimum enhancements and overpriced DLC. I'm afraid though that it is very possible if BF ends up being as popular as COD right now. Some ppl will buy boxes of sh!t if activision put a COD tag on it.

What about classic F1 cars and that F1 test track that they used to put in the older F1 games? and Telemetry?
No that is the true resolution the game will be running at. The NGP uses a screen with really high pixel density, like iphone 4's retina display.
lmfao for some reason when I saw him the first name that came to my mind was gabe newell...
I think trying to bring a console experience to a portable wouldn't be as big of a problem if they could actually pull it off, but they couldn't, not with the limited ram and lack of a right analog stick. The NGP with it's power and abundance of input methods including a second stick is IMHO a game changer. That is not to say they're forgeting about the casual consumer. Titles like Little Deviants, Sound Shapes, Hustle King, Reality Fighters, Smart As, Broken, etc, almost half...
I'm gettin more and more concerned. This looks and sounds more and more like beefed up BFBC2 and nothing like a beefed up BF2. No commo rose, 4 classes and 4 players per squad, no commander mode, probably no UAV and supply drops etc, no side specific weapons(russians and americans all totting the same M16s and Ak-47 WTF?!?!?!)
