I would definitely consider getting a Switch for Pokémon and Smash. I haven't finished Moon, pretty much picked it up when it came out, played a few hours, and put it right back down. Maybe I should get back to it.
I think they'll have to do some really cool new stuff to get me interested instead of just changing up how gyms work. Hopefully they do with a much more powerful platform. My only issue is that I hate picking up a system for two games. I guess we'...
Do you have it to play with your friends? Those are the main reasons I can see someone pick one console over another. Friends that share a platform or exclusives that a console has. I guess some people can argue the controller, but that point is moot, as people will conform to whichever controller they adopt after a short period of time (as evidenced by many people I know going from 360 to PS4 and vice versa).
I honestly don't understand the point of the XBO this gener...
I'm honestly a huge fan of the idea of the Switch, it's the games that they have that don't sell me (not yet at least). I've never been into Mario or Zelda (yes, gameplay is some of the best, but the stories are always lacking for me). I would love to play some of my Playstion games on the go with proper graphics and such. The Vita had a streaming feature, but I couldn't use it on planes or anywhere without a strong connection, so if was super limited. I'm fine either ...
I think the issue with Uncharted 3, though still an awesome game, was that they took the praise the wrong way and applied the design opposite to U2. With U2, they had an amazing story with which they included some awesome set piece moments, with U3, it felt more like they came up with some awesome set piece moments, then built the story around that. Not bad, but not quite up to what U2 achieved. U4 went back to focus on the story, which is why I go between 2 and 4 as my favorite, though U3 ha...
Is there an actual story or is it more like Don't Starve (just survive as long as possible).
Loved this game. I look forward to playing it again after my friends are done borrowing it.
It's one of the few games in which I didn't want to see the conclusion because I just wanted it to to continue. I love the character and story progression, the combat, the camera, and the visuals. Breathtaking. It'll be hard to top this for me as Game of the Year, thought Spider-Man has me hyped to hell and back.
Yeah... Even the old God of War games allowed you to deflect projectiles. Definitely wasn't stolen from Zelda. Maybe widen your range of games before making assumptions like that.
RDR2 may be a contender, but Far Cry 5 over God of War? I don't see it.
A mixed bunch, some are awesome, others have definitely been better.
Just because it's mentioned in The Last of Us' paragraph, doesn't mean it shouldn't get its own; Uncharted 2 had a phenomenal opening and should have its own mention, not just an afterthought. Way higher than some of the others on the list.
I'm waaaaay more excited for Spider-Man, but I'll definitely pick up RDR2. Probably a good idea to get both. Previewers are loving Spider-Man, I look forward to more coverage on Red Dead though, the original had a great story (that ending was intense), and a cool multiplayer.
To sum up this review;
THDP; Too Hard, Didn't Play.
You really should, it's different from the older games, but still has a high presentation value that was present in the previous games. New gameplay, new hubworld, better narrative. A lot of people I know that didn't like the older games love this one. I was always a fan of the series, but even if you weren't, this may be your game.
As Goldby said, no god has been proven to exist. I agree it would stir up too much controversey, what with the ridiculous amount of christians in the world, but last I checked, there is no concrete proof of any real deity from any religion past or present.
Yes, but they didn't deliver, and that's the issue. It's bad for the industry. They should be sinking, instead, their fans are keeping them afloat by buying into their promises. I hope no other console manufacturer ever does what Microsoft did this gen when it comes to making exclusive games.
Kratos v Jesus, anyone?
***Spoiler-ish***
In all seriousness, after beating the game I'm wondering how many more games he'll last after seeing that prophecy on the wall. I mean, Kratos has defied fate before, but maybe this reboot is their way of bringing a new character into the forefront. Something I'm fine with because I'm sure they'll do it justice (gameplay and story-wise).
Technically he could just use the time travel device he used in God of War II and just teleport to the future. I would vote for him over Trump, we'd probably see less tweets.
Breath of Fire III was my favorite in that series and would love a remake of it, that being said, you nailed a lot of the good ones. Grandia, BoF, Lunar, LoD, all great.
If this is a spinoff and not a main entry in the series, I'll pass on the switch for another few years or maybe indefinitely.
