Pokemon Go. Nothing says "Douche" to people that don't play games like a 27 year old man pretending to catch a Jigglypuff in the men's bathroom.
I'd say 8.7 is pretty accurate. There are many bugs, the story is weak as the writer says, but overall it's a great experience. It doesn't have to be a 10 to be awesome. I personally enjoyed New Vegas more story-wise, but this game has the best mechanics. I think I would rate Bloodborne higher than this, as it's a much better game mechanically, but overall, I would rather play this game, even though I would give it a lower score due to it's bugs and other weaknesses just b...
I'm thankful for Bethesda's Quality Assurance thouroughness... I kid, I kid...
I'm sincerely thankful for an amazing family that puts up with my craziness, an adorable dog that simply exists and is amazing, and an awesome video game industry that gets better with age. Also, I love N4G, it's where I get all my gaming news on the daily!
I'm about to get Fallout 4. That will be my main game for quite some time. I like the Tomb Raider reboot, but I'll take Uncharted over it anyway, the good news as a PS4 owner though, is that I'll eventually get to have both. No jealousy here.
For me, it depends on the game. If I didn't have the money, then that would be one thing. Also, if it's a yearly franchise (Assassin's Creed, CoD, etc.), then I'd wait until they announce the next one because the price will drop on the latest release. No Man's Sky has had my attention since it's announcement and I'm more than happy to support this ambitious project (made by only around 10 people).
I wouldn't think twice about dropping $60 on this game. More game than anything else ever, so yeah, it sounds like the right price tag.
I agrre wholeheartedly. I personally find them to be annoying.
Brutal...
I tried Morpheus as the first unveiling, and I gotta say, as long as there is software to support it, they already have my money. The immersion is something else. Totally worth it.
As they should, I hope that the experience is extremely new to me as soon as I start up the game. Too many developers show off huge portions of their game, I mean, it drums up excitement, but at the cost of losing it when the player actually experiences that portion of the game. Uncharted 4 for example, I am extremely psyched to play it, but that E3 demo and the demo before that are about a combined half hour long. Out of a 10-12 hour game, that's a good 4-5% of the game that you already ...
Opening up a different side story with a high quality add on is absolutely worth the price of admission (like "Left Behind"). I personally don't buy a lot of DLC, but Naughty Dog has shown that it knows what it's doing... Not quite so risky in that case.
I would strongly consider it myself... even though I already have two.
First planet is free, every one after that costs money to access... That would be an interesting way to sell the game -_-
I would definitely pay $60 for a full retail release, these guys are doing some great work.
If you're low on cash; backwards compatibility. If you're not; remasters.
I would almost always play a remaster over the original version if I had the chance. However, if I didn't have the money, then I wouldn't really have that choice... That being said, I just keep my old consoles...
I agree, I think they are doing very well now. The breadth of exclusive first party Xbox games continues to grow and is making me consider picking the XBO up sometime soon. I'll still wait for Tomb Raider on my PS4, but there are still some great exclusives coming that I won't be able to get anywhere else.
Also, it's nice to see that he really cares about games and the industry as a whole. Exactly what Microsoft needed.
The reason it's getting so much attention has to do with the fact that this series has always been on PlayStation, whether multiplatform or not. If you look at this person's list, most of the games that started off on one platform, then came to another a year or so later were all new IPs. Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc. Other games like Elder Scrolls were never on a PlayStation system, so PS fans didn't have a nostalgic investment in the series really. With Tomb Raider, it's kind ...
Misspelled Shiftlings...
Don't forget, a lot of people skipped the whole PS3 catakogue due to it's initial proce tag. Almost everyone had a PS2, so they may have more than likely played GoW 1&2. I love God of War, and 3 is my favorite, but I don't reslly think this was geared toward players like me (who've already played it 5 times).
Last Dragon Quest game I played was VIII... Been waiting for a mainline entry on a PS console for a while. I hope they make the next one multiplat at least.
I usually have Final Fantasy games preordered, but the wait for Versus XIII was kind of a huge let down, and then they made the decision to make it FFXV. Once I played Persona 4 Golden, that was it, the series became my favorite JRPG. I will get that without a doubt, day one. FF on the other hand, I'll wait for some reviews and friendly opinions before a purchase.
