I'm intrigued, though I'm curious as to how it plays out. I'm still not sure if I'll buy. It seems aimless from everything I've read up until now, but this write up does a good job of explaining a bit more. If they have a map that's 4 times as large as the last Fallout, plus enough content to fill it, it should last people for a few months worth of play. The question is, will the content be worth your time?
If the developer said so, then one would hope. It will be downscaled a bit compared to PC. But on the plus side, it will still look pretty good while also being playable. Most people will need to upgrade their PC just to play this, they'd have to spend way more just to have optimal settings. If they launched it as a cross gen game, I'd definitely get the PS5 version.
One of the best games I've played in a long time. Absolutely great for the industry.
It will probably be poorly implemented like most story devices in these games. Hard pass on the rest of this franchise.
I think Uncharted takes more from Indiana Jones than TR.
You think?
Were there not enough puddles? That usually ruins games.
Just wait until there's one less puddle in the final game. That's when the real rejection will start.
They did say it was going to have a huge set list, but I agree, the FO games are about molding your own experience out of the options and paths given. I still wonder what the purpose of the game is, what are you actually trying to achieve? So weird that it's two months out and I still have no idea.
I see you Dragon Quest, been waiting for you since DQ VIII, but you're just gonna have to wait a few weeks for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to fully take away all my attention.
Easily, especially since we haven't crossed the holiday season yet. With a price drop eventually, the game will cross 11-12 mil. Sequel please!
There are so many multiplayer games out there that making either kind of game is a risk! Look at LawBreakers. The damn thing tanked. Titan fall 2 did okay, I suppose. This doesn't make them bad games (I haven't played either yet), or just means there is too much competition. The thing about multiplayer is this, you still have to spend more time and money supporting the servers, even if it is a failure. Not so much with a single player game. If you hit it big with multiplayer, you mak...
It's my favorite game. As I've gotten older, I care less about mechanics (unless it's a multiplayer game) and more about story/character elements. The Last of Us still has the best storytelling, character growth, and pacing in the industry. All this is my opinion, of course, but nothing has topped it (for me), though the new GoW showed lots of promise and came close in some areas.
The thing that's sad is that people equate value to game length. Don't go see any movies at the theatre then, sheesh. In America, you spend $12 for 2 hours, that's 6 bucks an hour for entertainment. $60 for a 10 hour game is also 6 dollars an hour, but you can play it again, or sell it if need be. I would rather have the lasting memories from great games that were short than forgetful overly padded games for the sake of game time extension.
Not fleshed out, padded. I hate when games do this. Don't waste my damn time, just put in the core stuff.
At the end of the day, people who play the Fallout franchise may want less people trudging on their space. If anything, they should have servers that cater more toward one or the other. I personally don't care, for myself at least. I don't know all the mechanics in the game. If someone were able to steal from me though, I wouldn't be down for that. I like to keep my hard earned loot.
Yeah, I'm wondering what the actual purpose of the game is.
Have you ever played Overwatch? People will literally throw the game so that the rest of the team will lose. It's toxic, it poisons the customer base.
In 76, if you want to play with your friends and not interact in any PVP, even if you have a pacisift option on, you can still be harassed by other players, the devs have said so themselves. It has nothing to do with "snowflakes," it has to do with people wanting to enjoy their experience. If being an asshole is...
If I were working on the development of this game, I would have some of the QA staffers be such big a**holes that we have to think of every possible way to reduce griefing. I hope they aren't going about hoping everyone is going to be a sweetheart or just a mild douche. There are sincerely toxic people out there waiting to ruin your experience.
Probably unpopular opinion, but PS3 was my favorite, mainly because of all the new first party franchises Sony launched last gen. The Last of Us is my favorite game, and it first appeared on PS3. To be honest though, they've all been great for different reasons, so it's hard to really pinpoint an overall favorite across the board.
