This happened to me. I eventually got my points back. Like 70,000 -_- Was so pissed
While not fully open world, I found that God of War remedied the issue of poor storytelling in a game that allows exploration. By focusing on character growth through dialogue, either through side quests or randomly, the game is constantly feeding the players more story in a natural way, making the game feel like a cohesive whole. It helps from breaking up the pacing too much.
I can almost taste the sodium.
I played Black Ops’ single player campaign and enjoyed it. Don't remember too much from WaW’s campaign, but I played that one too. Other than that, all the CoD games I had (last was BLOPs III) were purchased for multiplayer. I don't see a problem with the lack of single player for a game like that. For every multiplayer exclusive game, there's a game like God of War. Hopefully the industry can maintain a good balance.
I didn't say Sony doesn't have quality games, I'm just wondering why Insomniac isn't supporting their platform. The combination of a successful partnership with Sony and the fact that the PSVR has the highest install base seemed like it would be a no-brainer.
I'm surprised Insomniac haven't done much with Sony and PSVR considering their history together. I guess they're more interested in power, which is cool, but I'd definitely support Insomniac on PSVR.
I'm enjoying it so far, but some of the voice acting is cringe-worthy. Mechanics are solid, reminiscent of DQ8, one of my favorite JRPGs (for obvious reasons).
GoW, U4, HZD, Spider-Man, and Persona 5 are my top 5 so far.
Very true, I feel like many zombies have felt marginalized by their portrayal in games. This could be the one that turns it around for them, giving them something to relate to.
In all seriousness, I wasn't interested at first, but the focus on story has me intrigued. I could say the same about The Last of Us, and it turned out to be my favorite game of all time (and still is). Then again, that was ND. Let's hope Bend finds some success with Days Gone.
<...
I'd be more interested in Overwatch if anything.
I'll wait for the mainline entry to get a Switch. I'll probably pick up Smash along with it.
Lol. I used to play Halo 2 religiously. I still don't remember much from those games beside the fun multiplayer. I mean, they were by no means bad, but the stories were forgettable. And Master Chief is okay, way better protagonists in the industry. Maybe coulda made an argument for that back during the OG Xbox days, but not now.
I read it just fine. Half of them are PlayStation exclusive characters, half are not, but all are available on PlayStation. I'm not saying other consoles don't have anything on offer, but the reason I primarily buy PS systems is because of the great stories and characters. The list is solid.
So... If you want games with good characters, get a Playstation? That's what I got from the article lol
How do you choose Bayonetta's gun shoes and not her hair? Lol
Playing God of War, I though; I didn't know I needed this game. It's one of my all time favorites. Spider-Man was a bunch of fun and had some great fan service. God of War takes it for me, the only thing that could top it for me this gen would be TLoU Part II.
Both were a bunch of fun to play, and I have both platinums.
Oh goodness, I hope not. MS could end up killing a developer, especially a Japanese one if they bring them under their umbrella. That would be bad news.
I agree for the most part. Two things about the most recent Halo games though, the change in developer/quality, and the install base of the new Xbox. Both have definitely had an effect. But you're right, games like Call of Duty are seeing less sales year on year. I wonder what's going to happen when their BR mode gets released.
If they pulled an Overwatch and used that money to give all the players the content for free, keeping the community unified, then I'd support that. I doubt it though. I'm not sure if I'm even getting the game at this point. It's horribly optimized with a month to go -_-
I enjoyed ES IV more than Skyrim. The storytelling was way better across all the guilds, which was my favorite part of the game. Skyrim had the better gameplay mechanics, but I'll take a good story over mechanics any day (unless the game is literally broken). Also, same with Bioshock, loved the ability to play as a Big Daddy in 2, especially fully upgraded, but 1 had a better story with a more memorable punch. Decent list though.
