They should just play to their strengths; FPS games, multiplayer, and Forza. Stop wasting time and money, it hasn't worked well in the past. Yes, some good games have been made (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey for instance), but that's not their strength. Their fan base doesn't buy into it en masse and no sequels are made. Fans want sequels if a game is great.
Look at Sony. Now I'm not gonna say they won't make another FPS multiplayer game any time soon, but ...
You could make a million Guinness world records if you think hard enough. Game with an animal protagonist with the lowest rating. Game with a female protagonist with the highest rating. Game with the most green. I mean, come on. I do have to play Okami though, I have it remastered for PS4.
Crackdown higher than The Witcher 3? 🤔
Mechanically sound, great graphics... I could see maybe a 6. 4 is a bit too low. I'm enjoying it so far, but I can see how some aspects could irritate someone. Not to the point of a 4 though. Oh well, everyone's got an opinion.
A friend recommended RotTR to me and I was so disappointed. The reboot TR showed promise. I'm glad I didn't go near this one.
I'll stick to saying it's just the person. My upbringing was rather violent. Me, a kid, thought; "hey, this doesn't feel great. I never want to do this to anyone else." I love God of War and The Last of Us. Hell, Mortal Kombat was one of my first games. If the person is violent, then a game may give them ideas, but that's about it. Those same ideas can be gotten from movies and television too.
I agree, wouldn't make sense chronologically.
If true, I'd be more than delighted. If Rocksteady is the dev, I'll take a (well made) Harry Potter RPG over a Superman game any day of the week. Plus, I just got my fill of superhero games with Marvel's Spider-Man (which was amazing). The Harry Potter universe is enticing. Hell, they made a whole damn theme park surrounding it! I hope this is true!
Sony didn't have a year headstart on Microsoft this gen, they launched the same month pretty much...
*Choice giving story driven games.
In which case Quantic Dream shouldn't be looked over.
We all know Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, and CDProjekt will continue to lead the push of strong story driven games,
If anything, I'd want Sony to own them because they know what goes into publishing good single player, narrative driven games. Definitely not Microsoft though, you'd probably end up with some kind of multiplayer Telltale game.
Honestly, I hated the episodic nature of their games. I liked the games, but I'd wait until all the episodes were out. It's too bad that they went under.
"Will we ever see a PS4 version of Infamous or is it set to remain trapped on the PlayStation 3? It’s not looking great now is it …"
*Checks mental history* Man, this guy will be excited to know that Infamous already has a PS4 version. How are some people allowed to write about game.
Also, Ghost of Tsushima is in the works, depending on how that goes, we'll probably see a sequel to that before another infamous.
I thought the TR reboot was decent. I thought Rise was trash. I usually get through games pretty quickly. I put it down for over a week and had to force myself to pick it back up. My friend recommended it to me so I got myself through. After that though, I knew I wasn't going to buy anymore. The animations, characters, and storytelling were bad. The gameplay was fine, though sometimes it faltered. Meh. To each their own. I couldn't recommend it to someone, there are way better games i...
I want more games. I've never thought: "Hmmm, I really wish Sony would give me more freedom." The cool thing is, they're making those games. The Last of Us Part II is my most anticipated. Sony's stable of developers give me games from franchises that I've grown to love like GoW and Uncharted, and then they come out of left field with new IP that I can't resist, like the Last of Us and Horizon.
Thanks Sony, keep doing what you do! When you want...
They're trying to ride the super hero wave. Good strategy.
I've purchased Spider-Man with no intention of picking up SotTR. I can afford both, but I feel like TR will disrespect my time, like it's prequel RotTR (though the 2013 reboot was decent). Spider-Man is great so far! People should check it out.
I don't plan on playing PubG at all. I'll take one playthrough of Spider-Man along with some lasting memories over what that game offers. I think the Battle Royale stuff is meh. Even worse, apparently this game has a lot of things it needs to iron out.
The Last of Us >>>>>> GTA V.
Hell, the only reason GTA has a higher meta is because all GTA games are overrated. Sincerely, look at the facts. A game with a meta of 97 (GTA) on multiple platforms ends up winning less Game of the Year awards to a 95 meta game TLoU) on a solo platform. It's because, when all is said and done and time has passed, the real gem continues to shine. GTA V may be a fun romp, but it was not a better game than TLoU. Otherwise t...
Yeah, I saw, it could possibly be a multiplayer component to Horizon. Who knows? That being said, looking at what has been made this gen, where has their focus been?
