@Vashlion & ClintonBeardsley
Thanks for the info and yeh that definitely sounds like something I'd like.
Don't shoot me but I don't think I have ever played a Monster Hunter game and there seem to be a lot of monster hunter fans on n4g - sell me on it heh. What's the premise? I don't want to Google any reviews...
I would be very interested in it if it turns out true considering the research valve has been putting into tech like biometrics.
Having a console that's reading our emotional responses could direct the ai to behave accordingly making for some extremely unique gameplay.
I think better graphics aside consoles need some major game-changing tech and not just gimmicks like motion controls which are generally less effective than a good old game pad.
I enjoyed the poke "following the success of hd-dvd" :)
I'm still wondering if the pre-order gates will be opened tomorrow.
@YoungsterJoey
I completely forgot he left Capcom. (I'm old) so that news re-breaks my heart!
Yeh I have my fingers crossed for a new mega man or onimusha.
I still think everyone is judging it waaay too early. Don't get me wrong, I don't want them to screw it up either because I love 1 & 2 but it's the same team behind it so I'm giving them the benefit of a doubt.
Definitely agree.
This ain't no gimmick. Excited for this.
Amen - and I'm not religious.
@guitarded77
Yeh I do agree it shouldn't be forced for the same reasons you mention, specifically the forced wii-trols with Zelda and other games.
I also agree that Nintendo is playing it safe which is really my biggest problem right now with it even though I still plan to buy the wiiU at launch. I just want something different ya know because I'm not counting on the tablet alone to lead to any major game-changing ideas.
I grew up on Mario as well and loved 'em but since Nintendo is going for innovation and not a graphical leap then shouldn't the first Mario game be innovative?
This is just a play on nostalgia and not innovation. The WiiU needs an equivalent to the innovation that Mario 64 brough to the industry - not another Mario that relies on 27 year old gameplay mechanics.
I generally love Bethesda games like Fallout and Oblivion but they honestly have a piss-poor character designer. Their faces just plain suck, especially compared to the stuff that non-professional modders come up with.
Looks like some good fun for sure and I'm VERY glad to see that it doesn't have a regenerative health system.
Ha "favorite game of recent years". Funny that I actually agree considering I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600. I love what are considered some of the best games of our time but I still manage to love the / of recent years and that's coming from an ancient fallout/metal gear/metroid/zelda/bioshock fan.
I only have one ssd but yeh I would NEVER go back either. Everything is so much faster from booting to starting programs. Love ssd.
And Agreed. Loved it.
Kojima said that the pc's specs it's running on are comparable to the ps3 (basically 360 as well) so it should look very similar, especially given the time by its release.
I don't get the disagree on chanmasta. Seems to me like a level editor for a side scrolling Mario game would be a great idea and easy to use.
