I totally agree. Loved Dark Souls and now playing Demon Souls for the first time. I have to say though Demon Souls isnt quite doing it for me the way Dark Souls did and I really think its just the layout of the world thats making the difference for me. The world in Dark Souls is one beautifully tied together world but its broken up into separate areas in Demon Souls. Wish I had played Demon Souls first so I would be enjoying it more...

I once had high hopes for Silicon Knights thanks to Eternal Darkness but they apparently just got lucky with that game because everything they touch sucks now.

Yeh it got really old fighting the same Drugar (glorified zombies) over and over dungeon after dungeon. I also hit a point in the game where I just didnt care as much so by the time I finished it I was generally under whelmed. It also didnt help that none of the side quests or even main quests didnt really tie into the end of the game at all. Major npc's (besides the graybeards) having no dialogue acknowledging your ass-kicking of the end really hurt the feeling of accomplishment.
Yeh a new rpg ip that turns out good would be a nice surprise.
It would truly break my heart if it was canceled.
I just started playing a few days ago but I love it. If you're a Tribes vet you'll feel right at home and if you've never played Tribes then you'll realize there is no better fps combat. Battling at what can feel like 100mph is really fun.
You may have seen it a month ago but I've been playing it for 2 years now. It's really difficult too with it being so blurry.
Yep I was in the beta too and totally agree that the selection was really bad - like you said nothing but old games or new crappy games.
I'd start with a talented developer. So far Spider-man has only seen mediocre at best developers.
I sure hope it turns out as good as it looks. I loved the old max payne games.

I played and loved Dark Souls but never played Demon Souls. Would I still enjoy Demon Souls with them having shut the Demon Souls servers down? (I think I remember hearing that anyways)

Liked the first one and loved the ending of which I wont spoil for any stragglers. After reading this I think the 2nd could be great.
