Heh in my eyes an 8 is a "play if you have nothing better to play" and a 9 or higher is a must-play.

Btw my friend said the same thing about the classes as you did but I guess because I just didn't enjoy the first one as much I either haven't noticed the classes lacking or it's just a matter of play style.

To each his own of course but I have a hard time seeing anyone not give this game at the very least a 9/10. This is coming from someone who only saw the first one as maybe an 8/10.

Borderlands 2 is just such a huge improvement over the first one imo.

Fun factor alone (not even including the humor, length and replayability) is a 9.5 for me.

Thanks for the info! Bubble +

I've only been holding off to play it with a friend split screen because I heard the ai partner can ruin the fun. Is the ai partner that bad or is still playable single-payer?

Same here. I actually built a pc good enough to run the Planetside 2 beta at max settings but even so I still find myself getting the console versions of games (borderlands 2 ATM) because my preference of playing a game while vegged out on the couch is greater than my desire for better controls (mouse n keyboard) and better graphics.

Just a personal preference thing I guess because I used to play pc games for hours on end happily at my computer desk.

Yeh I see a 10/10 the same way. Everyone knows there is no perfect game but if you love a game to death and the flaws are minimal then I think a 10/10 is well deserved.

@Legion - I can't believe the amount of disagrees you got. Must be a lot of people on here that are too young to know Tomb Raider first showed up on PS1 looooong before Uncharted was even a thought.

Yep supposedly Oct 16th on steam :)

Geez get over it. It's a sore spot at times but everything else makes up for it. It's not like the game is a 3rd person platformer action game where it's necessary to have decent camera control.

I preach again to anyone that hasn't played it to buy it or at least check out the demo. Great game.

I'm just super glad they already said the flood won't be in it. Worst part of the halo campaign imo.

You know this overpaid CEO most likely just reads spreadsheets and hasn't played a game since pong.

Yeh I'd love to know the authors thoughts on Dark Souls. I love games that don't hold your hands - so tired of having to go through mundane 15 min tutorials at the start of a new game unless it's blended in well.

I think tomb raider looks good too but I totally disagree with the author that it's over-hyped. There are several games that are getting way more attention/hype than tomb raider and they don't all deserve it.

I was never a huge fan of Hitman even though stealth is probably my favorite kind of gameplay.

I always really wanted to like the Hitman games but none of them ever really clicked with me. It always felt like there was just one tiny thing missing that made the difference between a good game and a great game.

Hopefully this one does it for me because I know there's a lot of hard core Hitman fans out there.

I'm old and I'm not bashing Pokemon but when it first hit U. S. I was always under the impression that it was aimed at younger teens (10-14yr olds) Was my assumption wrong or is it kind of a good-for-every-age thing?

Like I said I'm old.. Old gamer.. Just wondering.

And me too. Mark of the Ninja has been about the only worthwhile stealth game this year. Bring on Dishonored and Hitman.

I'm old as hell compared (I think) to most people on here but I know I played dc 1 or dc 2 or maybe even both but I know I really liked it so I'd love to see a 3rd title of a series I just barely remember heh.

Yeh I also loved Max Payne and Mass Effect 3 as well but I think longterm I will end up getting more enjoyment out of Borderlands 2. I don't play through too many games more than once back to back at least but Borderlands 2 has me hooked.

I was also really surprised how funny it is. It's childish crude humor (but not aimed mainly at a younger audience like Saints Row) just old dumb gamers like myself. The only other game that I can say has equal or maybe better humor ...

I think it may already have fan boys even though it's not out yet.

I'm really looking forward to it but without having actually played it I sure wouldn't be preaching to people about it yet.
