Does Sony really even HAVE a European edge?

That's already millions of games sold in the past year (as in, 12-mos) from Euro devs/pubs for Xbox 360 alone. How is that so behind?
Yup. The only thing they're even close to losing on is basically just hardware, which is roughly even according to most estimates (may a bit under factoring in Elite). Basically it's just a question of when profits grow larger than advertising and investment (re: making and printing Halo 3 costs, selling it makes 360 profitable, and that's EXACTLY what he's betting on).
The part that I love is that people ONLY talk about HD-DVD when this happens. BluRay has ALREADY released some movies that don't play on some players due to this exact issue.

2) As said in the article, it's about how PS3 is failing COMPARED TO Ps1 and Ps2, so #1 is irrelevant anyway.
1- Microsoft is offering a free transfer cable for users who purchase the 120GB cable as an upgrade, and yes, it's stupid to buy a whole system when all you want is the hard drive.
2- Unless your TV has some mystical issue with Component (no, seriously, some TVs don't support all resolutions on all of their connectors for example), there is no real benefit to HDMI. And even if there is on your TV, it's hardly worth a $480 price tag.
The announcement can't be far off- that also means the demo really IS very close to hitting.
Time to get excited.
The best part is that this guy's gamertag is already known to Bungie, and not only will be he banninated from beta testing, but if he claims to be a "professional" tester, he's never going to work in the industry again.
So who was complaining about the lack of gameplay footage, again? Heh. This game looks great, and it's not even done yet. Can't wait.
HD-DVD and BluRay are still a fraction of the video market. Wake me when regular DVD looks like it might be unseated.

Aaaaaanyway... I agree that you can learn at least the very basics of driving, especially from a sim game. But learning how to drive doesn't necessarily mean you're going to immediately go out and engage in illegal street racing or mow down pedestrians. It means you'll probably just drive.
This guy is probably already banned from the beta. And he sounds just like Chad Warden with his "Pee-Ess-Triple". I love when he mentions the "gay pistol". You can tell this is the kind of person who's just a blast to meet in matchmaking....not.
Seriously though, these are some nice teaser vids. You can't see anything, and what little you can see has pretty much been covered everywhere else except for actually seeing the new pistol in action.
It's been said for years, people: 360 is more optimized for gaming, while PS3's Cell is really meant for straight-line computing. So of course Cell is better for Folding- that's what it was designed to do.
And yes, they're TOTALLY different tasks. Saying the PS3 is better at Folding is like saying PS3's an excellent drag racer, while gaming requires a rally car whose top speed is much less important than its ability to handle quick turns and difficult roads.

This is especially true for Bungie, so this guy knows what he's talking about. Bungie went through all the trouble of making Halo 2's big in-game splash at e3 only to find out that all the work they put into making that demo playable essentially rendered all of those assets (for whatever reason) incompatible with the rest of their plan for the game, so they had to scrap and rebuild the entire game from the ground up shortly after.

Talk about timing, too. Sony parades very-nearly-bare-breasted women and a decapitated goat around a media event, and Microsoft rightly blocks something that really is decently raunchy.
