The issue isn't if a company is allowed to "trim the fat"- who's gonna argue with that? The thing that complicates these cuts, though, is that Sony claimed the PS3's European launch would be the console's salvation, and that the Euro launch was a critical moment that would show the strength of the PS3, and that the system would be catapulted to #1 as soon as the Euro launch hit.

We've heard that rhetoric before. Please, just let it die. And it's been beaten to death a million times, but- 720p @ 30fps is the sweet spot for this gen's hardware right now. For BOTH the PS3 and 360. Some developers might learn to push that eventually, but across the board, any title that claims to be pushing 1080p or 60fps now is essentially spinning its wheels and wasting power unneces...
-Only a sliver of the people who whine about wifi on the 360 even use it when it's there. Time after time, when someone grills the bigwigs about wifi, then the bigwig asks what the whiner is using to connect their 360, 90+% of them are either using a cable (to an established wireless reciever in their home, if that) or a 3rd party solution.
