It's fake because nothing new is mentioned. Not one thing. It's like any one of the hundred other previews listing what we know so far.
no japana is not included in that figure. So far there have been 1.5m sold in Europe and Reuters are reporting that the 1m shipped in US have been sold with production capacity increased twice. total 2.5m in 30 days not including japan. I can easily see it topping 4.5m by christmas
If you only want to play Killzone 3 or Socom 4 or perhaps LBP2 or maybe The Fight or Sorcery on your own, then you only need to pay £40 ($90 if it makes you happy). You have no choice but to spend £130 to play Kinect (not that you'd want to play a kinect game such as "Kinect Super Sportimals Family Excercise Jump Quest" on your own)..Speaking of gamers who don't go online, how come the number of xbox live accounts is so far below the number of actual xboxs. Either ...
Sony have stated that they will make a profit off every unit sold. They have acknowledged that they can't compete with Microsofts spending power and to me their business model makes sense. Profit from every unit sold & low entry cost (£40 in uk). Kinect costs $150 per unit to manufacture and comes with a marketing budget of $500 million. Therefore if Microsoft manufactures and sells 6 million units it would cost them $900m and they would still be out of pocket from that initial &...
99% of the people reading this will be core gamers, this list is never going to appeal to us. This product is aimed at casual gamers, that much is obvious. This makes it all the more baffling that so many xbox owners need to come and over zealously defend Kinect like it's their child. Please xbox owners, you must understand why people are criticising it.
i think he meant that love film was rentals whereas sony was streaming...either way it is still wrong as Lovefilm provides both
Lovefilm is a big brand with millions of subscribers. As far as Sony Is concerned, If 5% of Lovefilm users bought a PS3 because it gave them better access to their content and a Blu-Ray player, then thats a couple of hundred thousand console sales. Lovefilm obviously gets more customers as PS3 owners also want to make the most of their hardware. Win/Win and I for one welcome the choice. £9.99 for 4 rentals per month including games, 2 discs at a time & online streaming does sound ver...
I'll be playing with move, no shame here!
You can be negative about something without being a troll. It's plain to see that he had fun with the device, but at the same time he shrugged off flaws which others may find more obtrusive. When CNET reviewed Move they gave it 3 stars because of the lack of amazing software, yet conversely described it as the best, most robust motion controller available. In this hands on play test he mentions lag, he mentions an inability to actually control the direction of the ball, he mentions dificu...
This has been said multiple times on this thread but i'm going to repeat it again as many people dont seem to be listening. VGChartz have their own method for calculating units sold. They're not including people who have been waiting for Move to buy a PS3 bundle. They've arbitrarily decided how many individual controller count as a sale. Potentially 100k+ individual Move controller haven't been acocunted for. This doesnt include figures from Japan, where it has only just relea...
How is this any different to metroid prime 3? I absolutely loved the controls in that game! I am accustomed to motion controls after my time with the Wii and I can see me having no trouble with this whatsoever. This guy clearly just doesnt get it.
I don't think it's the popularity that attracts hate. I think it's when people realise that something will become popular undeservedly. Microsoft have been, in my opinion, very cynical with Kinect. They are roping millions in using promises without foundation. The public have been sold an idea rather than a product. The mockups from E3 planted a seed, "look you can have your own skateboard in the game"..Months later, "actually no you can't, but look you dont nee...
it really is a lot of money to pay to be able to navigate menus without a controller, especially as you say it won't be great for the games you like to play. This means that you will then have to pick up a controller anyway. Also, seeing as you have to place your hand over a button and hold it there to confirm a button press, you'll be navigating menus far slower than with a controller. I think perhaps you're trying a little hard to convince yourself that microsoft needs your mone...
you have a very skewed sense of logic. The next console war will begin when there are new consoles on the market. You cant just say that a generation is typically 5 years so thats it, any sales after now dont count.
This will keep those troublesome catholic priests off our streets
2GB of RAM, are you serious?
my personal experience with crysis 1 and warhead is completely the opposite of this. I built a £500 PC with a Core 2 Quad and a Radeon HD4850 with 4GB and it didnt perfrom anywhere near like I expected. Don't get me wrong, it ran OK but not aswell as ive seen the PS3 running crysis 2
So what kind of money are we looking at for a year old PC to be able to outdo the PS3? Predicted recommended specs will be a good core 2 duo, with a decent GPU and 4gb of ram. I don't know about the US, but in the uk you're looking at £500 at least. Even then I wouldnt be confident of it running as well as it does on PS3.
what a cock
sorry to be so blunt, but this just looks like a complete ball ache.
