I am alittle surprised at how much this just sounds like the Battlefield series. I guess that isn't a bad thing but slightly disappointing.
If it is 6gb - 8gb then expect some long download times

The faces are awesome, just hope the game is more than a hack and slash with button sequences. But surely anyone can see that this is a going to be AAA. Hope it doesn't get delayed again though.
I would also like to add that this footage is so much better than the Heroes clip. Did anyone notice that the Heroes clip is taken from the video?
I agree, i didnt approve the story as the text is taken out of context. He is basically saying its messy if you naturally move the controller during the game without wanting to use motion control.

I agree that it is in game footage but we didnt see alot. I so suppose it can be argued that it was a pre-rendered seens as all the player had to do was to press X at the right time so she jumped on to the platform. But its not like we havent seen a game mold cut scenes together with real gameplay (gears) so i think its fair to say that is how to game will look which was pretty good.

One thing I can tell you about Ireland (currently living in Cork) the internet is poor! I went from England where I had 8mb line (surprisingly cheap with NTL, now virgin) to a 2mb line which struggles to reach above 200kb download and around 80kb upload using a speed test.
I think it is starting to improve but i can see why Xbox live is not a big deal here. I have to wait until may before i can start playing again
I wonder why Sony never created their own 'Major Nelson' so they could release this information more efficiently? For me Major Nelson's blog is a great way to keep informed about Xbox live and the 360 in general.
Sony would be wise to create something similar (I dont consider 3Speech to be the correct way to do things)
New Coke was actually a huge success for Coke Cola.
When the pubic demanded 'original' Coke back, it raised revenue nearly double the cost of making and marketing 'New' Coke.
Also what was interesting about 'New' Coke was that they taste tested the new flavour on a huge amount of people who vastly preferred the new taste. I guess mob mentality rules and it can become 'cool' to hate certain products.
after listening to the reviewer (John) on the 1up yours podcast, it kinda expected. The guy loves driving games and is disappointed by the single player game.
I personally have to agree (not that i have played the game) that it lacks features and at the end of the day its an off road racer with very good graphics.

went last year and it was poor, hardly any announcements and a poor selection of playable games. Might play a bigger role this year though
I thought it was reported by an Australian site that the new black system would include the 120gb HDD and hdmi port and it would cost $749 (Aus)
could be wrong though but i think they were the first to mention the may release date
I guess if this is coming in may then they will announce it at GDC.
I could be wrong but i believe they were saying (rumour) this new version (120gb + hdmi) would be more expensive. If so I imagine they would also announce the reduction in price of the 2 orginial models by about 20%.

i understand your viewpoint but to be honest i dont buy into the 'Cell hype' just reminds me of all the talk of the emotion chip which was surpassed by the xbox after 1 year.
I just think in 6 years, technology will have moved on and be more advanced than the Cell. If it is so successful surely an competitor (Xbox) will place a new version in a new system which would have learnt from the experience of sony.
