"Once those complexities are unwound, how dramatically will the PS3 development environment change?
This is what we’re looking forward to that in eight years down the road"
8 years? I know Sony kept saying about a 10 year console but if the next Xbox comes out in 3/4 years time and steps up like it has this generation then surely the PS3 will be dead within 6 years

The 360 list doesnt seem to be working
I still think the issue is not about BC but the fact the we (PAL gamers) are getting an inferior system for the same price.
All they have to do is give a free extra controller (or another extra) and i would be happy again. If its a money saving change then pass on the savings.
I think the general opinion is 7 / 10 which sounds about right for me.
decent graphics but limited gameplay in a genre which is extremely niche. They have been creating F1 games for years and all that improves is the graphics.
but the rrp is £50 so does that mean that PS3 games will be £30 - £35?
Firstly i think this is a strange announcement:
1, it states "at launch" - does that mean prices will go up after that?
2, Will cheaper games mean more sales? i think a cheaper console would have more effect
3, Surely third party games will have to follow and have £40 games - we all know that 1st party games are supposed to be the best games so would someone pay extra for a lesser game? £40 for Motorstorm, £50 for Sonic? We...
while i agree with the lack of F1 fans in the UK (i cant really judge the whole of Europe) i dont agree that rally is the 'sweet spot'
I think people from the UK like alot of different types of racing and thats why Toca racing is so big in the UK. Picking any one type of racing is too smaller niche in my opinion.
As an update, play.com that had the core system for £150 has put the price back at £199. I know for a fact it was £150 on thursday

and for some of the people above, all UK prices include tax (VAT) so if you see a price then thats the price you pay
sorry but you are wrong about Microsoft losing revenue as they will sell at a standard price to all retailers, what they (play.com) decide to sell the console at is their own business.
I am hoping they reduce the Prem pack by the same amount, so you are looking at £240 for a game (usually Gears). If the price difference was over £200 that would be huge.
Doesnt seem to make much sense to do this at the moment, will be interesting when we hear more about this.
On a personal note, I couldnt care less about playing ps1/ps2 games, i always keep my consoles as they are worth nothing when you try to sell them.
Nice comment TG, here is the full list of 360 sales in the US last year (NPD figures)

Dec 06 - 1.1m
I agree that the 2 new consoles has not affe...
wow one of the most shocking stories of the year so far ;)
To be fair it is already nearly 6 months down the line ;)
If Sony is delivering 220,000 then there will be no shortages. The Wii sold that amount in 4 weeks in the lead up to christmas. I am pretty certain shops will have stock within 2 weeks of launch
sweet good on ya
This that you THammer on the voice messages? if it was your awesome ;)
Thats crazy money, I guess they have big hopes for the game.
Surely $35 million is enough to cover the entire development costs so maybe we will end up with a free MMO and the standard RRP covering server/maintenance costs
Now i am not saying this story is a lie but who actually buys games from woolworths?
Its usually more expensive and has has a limited amount games.
I feel this is more about publicity for a poor performing company than an actual a reflection of how well the PS3 will sell
Im excited for this game but I am starting to become very suspicious about GamesRadar.com. It seems to me like they get 2 new screen shots and just add information that we have know about for a long time.
The 'hands on with Assassins Creed' reveals nothing new which if they had just played it then surely they would have seen something new
The site seems to using the big name games to get traffic to there site
another useless article by gamesradar.
All Gamesradar does is take information gathered by other sources and place it in one article in order to get traffic.
Nothing new in this article!
