"but handguns can be of need for a women or anyone to protect themselves"
first of all women can protect themselves just as much as men can, everyone is equal.
Secondly, I have no idea how anyone takes enjoyment from killing another species. I have never heard a good reason for having guns in a civilised society. Is UK a better place without guns? I would say yes.
I agree with Calderra that America need to counter the root causes of viole...
How is a punishment to take away guns? What do people actually use them for? Hunting? shooting cans?
I agree with Americans that it will be difficlut to remove guns from your society as you have so many but it is something that the US needs to start doing. I would love to hear a presidental candidate say they are against guns. They are a bigger problem in American than terrorism.
seems like a great idea but probably wont deliver
isn't that why most people buy at launch????
at least Sony seems to have made reliable launch consoles this generation
The current exchange between the Dollar and the Pound is more due the weakness of the dollar rather than the strength of the pound.
The US dollar is at 17 year low against the Australian Dollar, 2 year low against the Euro as well as the 26 year low against the pound.
There also hasn't been a huge increase in the last few weeks and months. The exchange rate has been around $1.90 to £1 for a while before recently climbing.
I highly doubt Sony o...
I find it interesting that the Xbox Prem has stayed around the same price in the UK and instead of price reductions retailers have offered better game packages. As far as I am aware, Play.com's offer of a prem with Gears, Crackdown and Pro Evo for £289 is the best offer around.
Instead of adopting a similar strategy for the PS3, most retailers are just reducing the console price. This shows a couple of things;
1 - Maybe retailers don't feel that the current ...
I am sorry that I was wrong to say that Doha is part of the UAE but to be honest I dont know what point you are making.
I know you are from Dubai and know alot more about that region than I ever will but how does that effect my experience of the places I mentioned?
I loved my time in Saudi and I am hoping to return in the future but I found very little to indicate that the 360 will sell well there. Alot of shop assistants didnt even know there was a new xbox.
I have just visited Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Doha (UAE) and there is hardly a 360 to be seen.
I was hoping to bring one back to the UK but didn't for a couple of reasons:
1 - Hardly anywhere sold them. I think I found a total of 4 shops that sold them.
2 - They were expensive. Saudi prices were around £250 without any games. Bahrain prices were around £270 without any games. I also found chipped 360s for £350!

"in our four months with over 600,000 registered accounts" does that mean that over half of PS3 owners havent signed up for online play?
do you need to sign up? just wondering
You and I both know that the only reason Killzone 2 is generating hype is because they produced a cgi trailer and then claimed it to be in game footage.
I still have no doubt that this game is be very good looking, it has to. Can you imagine the backlash if it didnt?
I will even say that it will look better than Halo 3 but will it play better? draw the same amount of attention? not a chance
I guess it reflects on the high price of the console and lack of truly great titles
it wasnt approved last time as VG Charts added 500k for Pal regions on the day it launched. That proved that they had no basis for sale figures they use.
I dont deny that they might have sold that amount but VG has no way of proving it
not exactly new as they have been taken out of the GDC video that was released
i imagine it will be around 500,000 but surely the UK is one of the largest market segments so it might be lower than this.
I wouldnt believe VG Charts either as they posted the 500,000 the day after launch. There is no way that was base on anything but speculation.
Of course the time of year has negatively effect PS3 demand but that was their own fault.
Now consider that the Wii was launched at the prime launch window so theoretically more people wanted to buy than a normal month. This you would imagine would lead to a sharper peak in sales followed by a more dramatic downward term in sales as we reached March / April. This hasn't happened though proving that demand has defied the time of year factor.
Unfortunately we will ...
This was always going to happen. It is no reflection on the quality of the consoles that have gone before the PS3 or the actual PS3.
165,000 (if taken as fact) is the actual demand for the PS3 which could be argued as actually quiet low. The Wii is still sold out everywhere, now i haven't heard sales figures since christmas but it supposedly sold around 250,000 in the 5 weeks before christmas. Now it must have sold closer to 400,000 / 450,000 and demand is yet to slow.
...
seems like a good idea :)
Happy that you guys are still updating and adding to an already great site.
look forward to seeing the new system
i agree that it should have been annouced before the launch.
It annoys me that the 360 video marketplace is not available in the UK but it would be alot worst if you couldnt get demos. Hopefully Sony will sort it out and allow everyone to at least get demos.
Either way you look at it Deep, the sentence is misleading.
I would say a 'few months' is 3 or 4 months. Surely the Q2 will be 3 months so will 60 games be released in the first month of Q3?
