Finishing a video game isn't an accomplisment, it's entertainment. College, career, marriage, children, real world experiences, those are accomplishments.
My wish is that there would be an option from the dashboard to turn them off all together. I don't want the feature to go away for those who enjoy but personally I do not see the point.
Look at the "leaderboards" on Xbox: http://www.xboxgamertag.com...
I don't look at this and think, "Wow, that is so cool" I think "Get a life" or "Hello Modio...
My only concern is that when I buy something I would like to own it. When PS4 and 720 hit the market will I be able to download a game like Limbo or Wipeout HD again without having to spend more money?
Like any of that matters, it's a fantasy. Maybe people would be happy if it were called "Veggie Burger Hookah Love-in" where the main character has hairy arm pits, a pot belly and fights evil corporations with her patchouli stink.
At least just as in real life it's still a "choice".
This is how a HD collection should be done, are you listening Konami? Can't wait, both games look beautiful.
I'm not dissapointed at all as I can not stand 3D anything but I was surprised that Sony was not including 3D since they are ramming it down everyone's throats in every other way.
Rigging the outcome? Give me a break. Microsoft chooses to not spend the money to publish a game if that developer is at the very least not going to do a release at the same time. That developer has every right to say no, go to Sony, put the game out and if they choose to bring it to XBL then the opportunity is there, just don't expect to have your way paid for you. I support them 100% on this, there is nothing dirty about not spending your money.
I think you missed my point as did all those who disagreed with it:
I own a Sony Bravia 60" TV, Sony Surround Sound Blu-ray Home Theater, Sony DSLR a55 camera, Sony Handycam, Sony Walkman, Fat and Slim PS3 and use Sony Vegas and Sony Acid a lot in my own work. So I'm a Sony fan. I'm typing this on a $3,000 custom Sony Vaio laptop and have all-in-one Sony desktop as well.
My point is that Microsoft is creating a seamless experience across Wi...
I downloaded the demo earlier this evening to give it a try and that it was one of the worst looking and playing games I have seen in a while, really awful.
I remember in elementary school (mid to late 80s for myself) watching a special our teacher had video taped on the home of the future. It was a special PBS I believe had done with Bill Gates and Microsoft. Anyway, in the house there was a little electronic "box" in the middle of the living room. Gates was showing off this box that controlled the TV, played games, turned on lights, took phone messages, etc...
Sony needs to streamline their services and really mak...
Impossible to explain but for those who know this is something to get excited for:)
My favorite XBL title since Limbo, a bit on the short side but everything else was just perfect for my taste.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet has become my favorite downloadable game since Limbo, I thought it was amazing.
I'll reserve judgement on the "better graphics" but the mechanics were just as awful. Something tells me it won't look much better than the recent release of No More Heroes and that was pretty poor.
All these posts about "not caring about gamers" are getting ridiculous. Maybe Sony doesn't care about gamers since Uncahrted is an exclusive title. Perphaps the folks at Santa Monica hate gamers because God of War is not on Xbox.
It's ALL a business and the fact that there is competion is good, it keeps Sony and Microsoft in check to do their best to please us.
Both games look great, I had picked up on PS3 but was able to see the Xbox version in person today. Every developer should look at this title on how to do a quality multiplatform game. That means you Mr. Carmack;)
A quality bundle would be the inclusion of a Microsoft point card to pick the games you would like.
I HATE that. I went into Gamestop, against better judgement, to pick up three new games: Bayonetta, Shadows of the Damned and No More Heroes. The guy went to his drawer and pulled out the games, I didn't notice until he started ringing me up that each one was open with a "new" sticker on front. I said I wanted sealed and he said they didn't have any. Needless to say I told him I'd go somewhere else to pick up the games.
I don't know why anybody...
