Skyrim all the way. I don't want an easy game anymore than I want a game that is punishing. Demon Souls looked beautiful and the mechanics were great, I really wanted to love it but the frustration was not my kind of fun.
I downloaded the demo today, I enjoyed what was their but unsure if this is a title I would play all the way through. Possibly a purchase towards next year sometime.
Its an ok deal, not nearly as good as the PS3 price drop. You get to download 5 games which yes are quality titles but a bundle with actual copies of the games would be better.
I also notice it's a bundle with the "shiny" 250gb model. Must be clearing out stock before the 250gb matte finish hit the market this fall.
Alan Wake, my 2nd favorite game this generation after Red Dead Redemption, too bad it didn't do better.
The only identity crisis I see from this series is that of being a good one. The first two games were the definition of average and the 3rd looks like another polished but average game. No thanks, not with Rage on the horizon.
Great news for Xbox owners who are interested but I'm not a fan of this series at all. I don't think it deserves much of the praise bestowed upon it.
Don't support GameGestapo!
Uncharted 3 and Gears 3 are all I need this Fall. Lots of great games but those are the two first day for myself.
I was excited for No More Heroes until I bought it and played it, feels very outdated.
I would be very excited if it were on a console:) I know, highly unlikely but as someone who does not enjoy playing on a PC I guess I will miss out. Bioware, give me KotOR 3!
To me Kinect seems better suited for a controller with voice commands. Waving your hands around doesn't really do much for a game experience.
Infamous is a series I want to like, I enjoy the mechanics of leaping and climbing but the game itself is just not compelling. The missions are redundant, the voice acting is horrible, pedestrians are oblivious, etc...
Why is everyone in Skyrim so gray? Not to say the grahpics won't be stellar but the color looks pretty blah.
I just don't get the hype over the resistance series, they are the very definition of average.
As a PS3/360 owner here are my thoughts on your list...
Superior exclusives: I tend to agree although very subjective, personally I enjoy the Uncharted series just as much as Gears.
Blu ray: 100% agree, Microsoft made a mistake not including it.
Free online: I'd rather pay for Xbox Live than have PSN for free, PSN is awful.
Internet Browser: Meh, doesn't work that great, looking more foward to Bing integration.
When something is wrong I don't consider it "looking down" on that issue. I'm sure you disagree with pedophiles but it's not because you are privileged.
If people don't like it then don't support Microsoft, nuff' said. I think it's more than fair. It's their company, their money and their console.
I had a Kinect at one point but after the novelty wore off I sold it. I look at this generation of Kinect as more of a Beta phase, I'm more than willing to give Kinect a second look the next generation with 720 but as for now its just a novelty.
The only thing I don't like about the Gears Edition is that it is the shiny case. I am a big fan of the matte finish that both the PS3 Slim and 4GB Xbox sport.
I think everyone who loves achievements and think that gaming is anything more than entertainment might want to look up the definition of "important":

None of this is important.
Apparently some people need a history lesson. Regardless if you agree with history or not is not the issue, the fact is this game takes place in post-WWII LA.
After WWII women did take the role of the homemaker in response to servicemen coming back from a nightmarish war. The atomic family came to be because families wanted children to have a world without that nightmare and the men who did survive to be taken care of. That's not sexism, that's reality.
