Not really about AAA only games but getting support that doesn't feel like its just an add-on. If Sony comes out of the gate with VR support on the PS5 the chances of others joining increases. Releasing the product a few years later makes it that much more difficult to sell to a segment of your population.
As a developer how much are you going to invest if only 5% of the install base of the console also has the VR addition?
Are you asking because the game also interests you or are you just wanting to counter anything he throws at you? personally I love the art style/setting and I also love the social aspect of it. It's going to be very fun with friends.
Markus, things could be different now that we see these new transition consoles. Would Sony keep the Pro going and kill of the base PS4 and will they have PS4 compatability on the PS5? I'd love to see a decent cpu on the PS5 so devs can start hitting higher frame rates.
That's the good thing with Sony, they don't quickly abandon their old system. The downside is it takes a couple of years before decent support starts coming out on the new system but I think The Last of Us 2 or maybe Death Stranding will be a simultaneous PS4/PS5 release.
The Colaition? No thanks. Gears was pretty average and why limit your userbase with an ip like Star Wars since they are owned by Microsoft, same with 343. I believe it will be Ubisoft if anything. They have the status out there while still doing quite well and often coming up with great games like Mario + Rabbids.
Activision, same crap we see from EA.
There is lots of talent out there, create their own studio. People like Amy Henning should not have signed onto with EA.
What the industry needs is more kickstarter type studios but with more accountability restrictions.
We may have a good motorbike game in awhile.
We have seen other games costs as much, some even more. It all depends on how much effort was put into it but the screenshots look good.
Lookin good
Could make some decent money, 5% can add up quick.
Looks pretty wild
Of course it was a success. I thoroughly enjoyed mine.

"Why would someone put out a console that 4x powerful and not make games just for it? "
Whose not making games? The original comment was about making the same game but offer different experiences by showcasing the power. So why would you once again go your own way by misinterpreting that by implying it meant not making games? Microsoft already distinguished the power gap with Forza 7.
This article is just a reminder that th...
I guess they dont want to promote drinking, thats understandable, but its ok to release games that allow you to kill people.
When VR becomes more appealing to a wider audience then maybe they will. Is this game getting VR support on other systems or is this just another example of you wanting to go out of your way to call out Microsoft and the Xbox?
I wish more games were like this, instead we get shown what to do all the time and the combat in so many other games is just mashing the buttons. This is one of the few games that goes for realism.
It also sounds like they don't want to take the time (now) to use all of the Xbox One X resources.
"After working on Xbox One X we can say that there have definitely been effective improvements in quality and performance, Xbox One X is surely a very powerful and carefully engineered console. Developing on the Xbox One X is phenomenal, the kits and the tools provided by Microsoft are excellent and, for our developers, it feels like targeting a high-end PC without cr...
This is where the money is going, paying wages to a game that has no end in sight.
To correct you Halo Wars 2 came out last year. This year should bring Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2 and possibly Ori and the Will of the Wisps. But yes, they need to do more.
The game still holds up incredibly well. The PS3 has run its course but a remaster on the PS4 would certainly be welcome.
