The game will be out February is my guess. Sony will continue to leave the busy Fall season mostly open (makes even more sense for new ip's) for third party to battle it out.
To be fair the only way we can assume there are problems on Microsofts part is for the developer or Sony to say. Otherwise it's just conjecture. Nintendo could very well be the pillar to all of this. If we start seeing crossplay between Nintendo and Microsoft and also crossplay between Sony and Nintendo that will just further conclude Sony wants no part in working with Microsoft.
At the end of the day I'm not fully convinced this is a good idea to begin with. Sony h...
This all started from a Tweet from somebody asking. Do you think this was a ploy paid by Microsoft? Then Microsoft answered, then Fortnite answered. Guess which one of the 3 parties involved didn't answer and will not answer?
This is the information we have, what you are suggesting is hypothetical because for some reason your want to give Sony the benefit likely because you like them more than Microsoft.
I don't like Microsoft more than the averag...
Back then PSN was a lot worse than it is now. More secure and more feature rich.
The problem I see some of you have is the inability to focus on the developers wishes and not the clash between Xbox and Playstation. Sony does not owe any of us an explanation, or Microsoft for that matter.
What they should be doing is having a mature discussion with any developers that are trying to put it out there. Instead it looks to anyone from the outside they are jus...
Sony covers most areas, maybe RTS and first person games are lacking?
Nintendo isn't really into simulation games but they do things for the fun factor and getting others to join in. I love tennis and Mario tennis looks awesome but it's not a simulation either.
So did the makers of Fortnite, who also want it to happen.
Before anyone gets carried away he was simply responding to a request from another Twiiter user.
Feel better now? Of course they matter, so does 3rd party support, pricing, hardware features and so on.
They got their focus back after about year 3 of the PS3. Ever since then they have really focused on making sure they have strong development and a steady pace of their 1st party titles.
Likely because Killzone and Knack were both average titles and Resogun, an indie title, was the highlight. It always takes Sony a couple of years to get going and that is because they support older generation consoles longer than its competitors.
Well EA took the hit for everyone with Star Wars Battlefront II. Now we may (hopefully) see less of them. Sports games are easy to implement them but since they are annual releases that are often full price they shouldn't be there regardless.
The first Crackdown was not a huge AAA either so it seems to me you are the only one suggesting that. We all know this and any other Xbox/Windows game hold none of your interest so I'm not really sure why you bother. I comment on things that interest me and the destruction/online looked rather cool. The first game was decent, the second sucked. Personally I didn't think this looked that great for the offline part and Microsoft probably realized they need to work on it more.
These are strategic moves and Sony has that luxury since they lead in multiplat sales. It also helps they have enough exclusives to spread out where if one game gets delayed its not a big deal.
It's tough now because just to play people online comes with a monthly fee. I imagine many don't want multiple subscriptions so developers go the route of dlc or microtransactions instead.
It would be neat if they did something along the lines what Nintendo and Ubisoft did.
Future exclusives? Thats where they need to work on most.
That's a fair assessment. Anthem is a big title with a big budget, there's no way EA isn't going to try and monetize this game beyond the $60 price.
Eonjay, you did nothing to counter anything I said. Sony is not giving you that choice with EA Access, it's already made for you. You can say it's not something you're interested in but again that's besides the point.
So your whole argument Sony serves you is more about the games they provide which is a whole different discussion. This is about optional services like Game Pass and again Microsoft is giving its consumers more options than Sony. Play Anywhere...
To be more accurate it's along the lines of :
MS - great, another example of them buying their deals and preventing others from playing.
Sony - makes sense, that's where most sales will be.
