Agreed, it seems like a weird strategy to pair it with the release of an annual sports game. Even if it is a consistent high seller every year.

This one wasn't that hard a prediction to make. Microsoft said at E3 that they are aiming to keep the 360 going until 2015.

This site focuses very heavily on video game industry and sales news, so it makes perfect sense for them to determine a "winner" based on which company they feel best showcased products to cater to all consumers, and which company best showed how it will continue to stimulate and grow the video game marketplace. No surprise here.

Apple clearly is innovating faster than AT&T can keep up. Maybe this will point Apple towards ending their exclusivity agreement with AT&T, because this sure doesn't make their partnership look very good.

In the ideal world, each digital product would be supported by the console company for as long as they are in the gaming business (i.e. the entire foreseeable future). Hopefully they would even continue to be distributed, or perhaps cycled in and out of distribution as a marketing gimmick. Any product that you have bought, you own the rights to, and can re-download if necessary in the future. If this all happens I am perfectly comfortable in switching to digital, but the worry is whether t...

The last one is kiiiiinda a continued ending. Altair's (the crusade-era character you actually play as) story is complete. But Desmond, the guy in the modern age who does little more than lie there in AC1, has more story ahead. You definitely end up caring more about Altair though. I expect the same for Ezio in in AC2.

Comments like that confuse me. There was a live demo using several different pieces of software, each of which were more fleshed out than the sony motion demos. Milo was a video (and there was a video montage of the possibilities), but lots of people seem to think there was no live demo. Did you guys not watch the conference?

The software and hardware are both clearly in the testing phase, so it does not surprise me that there was editing done in the video to make it look like it works how they want it to work and believe they can make it work. The fact that they DID do live demos for a segment of the press, many of whom have come away with positive things to say, is reassuring.

Sorry, but are you judging the two technologies based on which one lets you write better? Odd standard to focus on for gaming technology...

Kigmal is right, Microsoft has only announced that the full-retail game downloads will cost normal currency instead of points. Which makes sense because they are banking on convenience to get people to buy games online instead of in stores, and having to buy $60 worth of points is a big hit to the convenience factor.

This COULD mean that points go away altogether when the full retail game store opens, but that is not what MS has announced at this point.

Indeed. Sounds like it won't be nearly as long a wait for this one as the last. Which makes sense... this game clearly uses the same engine and graphics style so it shouldn't take nearly as long to make.

I can't wait!

Trying to figure that out myself. The article makes no more sense than the title.

Is the contributor the author of the article? Maybe he can clarify.

Ah, I hadn't read far enough down, as this is exactly what I'm wondering about in my reply in 1. Agree with you completely.

I'm confused... isn't this article basically saying preorders are up 500% over when it wasn't available to preorder? That's not terribly informative or impressive.

EDIT: Would you disagreers explain what this article means then? It sounds like it's saying "Now that PSP-Go is available for preorder, people are preordering it 500% more than when it wasn't available for preorder!" That is a completely meaningless statistic...

When it comes to Valve, buy their games on PC. Solves all your frustrations. And it's clearly the way they prefer it.

This really makes no sense though. Why would a company "hide" the release date? If they're confident enough in its timeline to have a release date that soon after its announcement, they would be shouting it from the rooftops.

This is just grasping at straws. I'm not familiar with gamervision.com, but it's not gaining credibility with me for this.

How does one "steal" a multiplatform game? I don't get this logic that a game being available on both consoles somehow lessens the experience.

Now if they had taken games previously announced as multiplatform and said "Surprise! Now it's only on Xbox!" I could see the complaint.

Agreed, the name still drives me crazy. It's like if they called Halo "Futuristic Alien Shooting Game," or if they called Modern Warfare 2... well, bad example.

I hope they don't change aquatic form. Tapeworm form ftw!

I agree, this model isn't as striking a difference as the Tauren cats from the old model. Nor is there as much variety in the different color schemes.

That said, it does look great.
