It's definitely a huge opportunity for publishers. They could easily just have a new division of fan-made games where games with rabid fan bases can submit prototypes and whatnot. This is why cloud will never replace console! There will always be issues with stuff like input lag. You just can't 100% replicate the experience of playing locally on a console. I'm cool with the subscription services, but you need to be able to download the games to get a good experience.
He's taking about the experience playing on pc, v which is streaming only. The point is to not have to buy a ps4/5. But yeah, if you want the proper experience, you just have to play it local on the console.

With the power of the newer consoles, it should be easy to rework games stuck on old consoles for a new generation of gamers to enjoy. Seeing FF9 with graphics like this on modern consoles would be a damn fine way to celebrate its history! And the thing is, the leg work is already done. These dedicated fans have already worked this far, why not pick it up from here and finish it for a proper release?!

Switch version looks like it holds up surprisingly well. This should really be on PS5 and Xbox as well though. Imagine it will do well on switch but no reason to limit it to one console.
A Dreamcast mini would be absolutely amazing. More people need to experience skies of Arcadia! That's easily one of my all-time favorite RPGs! Top 10 all time stuff that not nearly enough people got to experience. Dreamcast definitely had some gems!
It definitely is one of the best new IP from EA or any publisher for that matter in the last decade or so. It's a shame they did release it the way they did put it out to die. Titanfall 1 caught some flack for being online only and exclusive to Xbox One. But it was pretty sweet and then Titanfall 2 was absolutely amazing! Probably the best FPS campaign of last generation. Multiplayer's always been good but that single player campaign absolutely nailed it.
You will see me complain about remasters and remakes, but only when theyre from last gen or last year. I think that stuff is a money grab and unnecessary.
However, games from 20+ years ago remade with todays tech, Im all for that! I love what SE did with FF7 remake, even if I don't like how they broke it up to make it several games. But the results so far have been incredible!

I wish that companies would find a way to release these kind of fan projects. Instead of just shutting them down and wasting all of the time of everybody who developed them, why not just help put the finishing touches on it and give the folks behind it a small cut of the sales?

Wayyyy off. They added a lot of the OG AC elements back into Valhalla. Its a good blend of both styles, and with separate difficulty modifiers for combat, stealth, and exploration, you can really fine tune the game exactly to your liking. It is a much different game than Origins and Odyssey. You are missing out on a fantastic game by not giving it a chance. Its pretty bombass on ps5/series x. Stunningly gorgeous game all around.
Everybody is doing roguelikes, I cant do them though. I like to feel progression rather than playing the same parts over and over to progress. Its like theyre padding games with replayability by making you do the same thing repeatedly. Not a fan of that.
And with one collection no less: Rare Replay. Its a great collection but it shows Nintendos complete ineptitude when it comes to these things. Nintendont care and as a shareholder in the company, that is very frustrating.
Looking forward to this one for sure, but another one delayed to 2022?! Damn, Im thinking that Horizon is the next one to get delayed. '21 is the year of the delay. The new consoles have been wasted for a full year at this point. Makes me think they should have delayed the launches altogether. The new systems are floating by on hype due to lack of availability and last gen games slightly enhanced.

The launch window also had games like the first saints row and Dead rising. That's several entirely new series and several sequels within 6 months of the system launch. You just don't see that anymore. We're lucky to get one or 2, then just a bunch of rehashes and director cut of games most of us already bought. Seriously hoping this is drop in drop out multiplayer not just exclusively multiplayer. Sometimes I just want to blow s*** up myself without talking to anybody. Heres hoping the game will be tailored to single player as well or they can just fill in the other players with bots for all I care.
