This kid of stuff is totally going to lead to a market crash! We should be boycotting this practice, instead we are allowing it by supporting it. For the players WALLETS.
Or better yet, how about the thing called a SEQUEL with all of those things. If we all keep clamoring for the same games with some shiny new features slapped on and sold as brand new, gaming is a doomed medium and we will experience another crash. People are going to get fed up of being fed the same things over and over. It stifles creativity in game development and tells the publishers that we dont want new experiences, just the same stuff slightly enhanced.

It speaks to the sad state of gaming and the greed of the companies. If we keep on buying the same shit over and over they're going to keep shoveling us the same shit over and over. Its become an accepted practice now. How is it that gaming is bigger than it has ever been. These companies are making more $$$ than they ever have, but are getting away with giving us less and less while making more $$?!
Whatever happened to platform holders releasing new consoles with tons of new and exciting titles?! Im not talking about a specific console here, as all of them are complicit in this, but it seems that gaming has become equivalent to Hollywood with all these remasters, reboots, and Directors cuts.
We as gamers should expect more and hold these companies accountable. I think the last console that launched with a bonafide "launch lineup" of new titles was the Xbox ...

I feel like all will be forgiven when they announce a new Witcher. But first clearly they need to right this wrong. Hopefully they learned a valuable lesson in not taking advantage of your customer base and their confidence in you. This should have totally been a next-gen only release. They delayed as long as they did, another 6mos to a year and they would have been able to launch a good game and not completely obliterated their reputation.
The Witcher was kind of a mess at first though too. As great as it turned out to be, they had a lot of issues initially that needed patching. I think it was like four or five updates before the game really clicked for me. Once it did tho holy crap what a game that was! It's too bad they didn't learn their lessons.
I bought the Xbox One X special edition that came with this digital copy. They gave me $100 back so the game is free to me. I thought it was pretty good up until some bug preventing me from completing a mission about six or seven hours in. Definitely one to watch when they drop the series x / ps5 patch. What I had played up to that point was pretty crazy though!
I don't think I've ever had my PS5 out of rest mode. I've never had a game crash but then again I've never played call of duty on it so that could be why. The system has operated flawlessly without a hitch since day one. Maybe I'm just lucky? I have not heard of widespread PS5 crashing issues
My PS5 woke me up with this update this morning. I've never heard it run that loud while doing an update, it was crazy. I had a bottle of water on my stand in front of the PS5 so the blue light hit the bottle just right and I had shimmering blue lights on my ceiling. Coming out of a dream about aliens I totally thought I was being abducted at that point 🤣
Not sure what this sandbox is but if you want a great Walking Dead simulator, even though it's not officially walking Dead, check out State of Decay 2 on PC and Xbox! It's the closest thing to a zombie apocalypse simulator I've seen and it's a fantastic game!
Well AC hasn't been the yearly thing for the last several years. It's been 2 years between games and in between those years there are DLC stories.

Definitely agree with this in that Aztec would be a great period to explore. Also, they dont need to do Japan anymore as Ghost of Tsushima has that crown. There is no way Ubi could top that game so they may as well not even try. If there were going to do something Oriental, maybe they could tackle some of the Chinese mythologies, explore the building of the Great Wall, etc.
They sure did have some freaking BANGERS on the 360! Until Kinect killed the momentum. I wish they would use that Kameo IP, that was actually a pretty great game! Different, but the art was crazy and it had that Rare Nintendo-like charm that MS paid for.
The best thing was how hard they pushed Sony, cuz Sony really brought it in the second half of the gen and that really is what helped propel the PS4 to become the monster it did! Its good to hear Phil say that he is trying...
Ill be interested to know if this is multiplayer only or if I can play it single player. Im ok with them being multiplayer, but not exclusively multi. Give me the bot quad, I dont care! But dont force MP on me.
I love the kind of mayhem in Avalanche games, but I cant do MP only all the time. Sometimes I like playing online with others, but I much prefer me the SP games. My interest is piqued though, especially since its Day 1 on GP, so no risk to check it out!
Yep. Fallout 4 and its DLC were great. Once Fallout 76 dropped, it was all downhill. They tried to do the same thing with Fallout that they were able to accomplish with Elder Scrolls Online. I cant do the MMO games though. Those single player masterpieces are what made those series! Not everything needs to have an MMO. I will never do the MMO jive, I just cant. Even with the supposed upgrades to 76, its like, why should I bother if I cant stand MMO's?! Theyll NEVER sell me on them.
Good breakdown! They definitely lost focus once they got a grip on the market share. That allowed Sony to come roaring back later in the PS3 lifecycle and then just totally take over in the next gen with ps4!

To be clear, they dont say anything about this being a GaaS style of game. Just that they are not passing the series back and forth between studios anymore and are utlizing their 2 big AC studios to make whatever AC Infinity will be. I am betting it will still be a boxed game with more DLC rather than a whole new title every couple of years. And if it doesnt sell, they will likely revert back to selling each game as a boxed title. But nowhere does it say or even imply that AC is becoming Gaa...
yeah you would think they'd want to come out swinging especially after congratulating Microsoft on the great E3 they had. Seems they're willing to just rest on their laurels. As long as we get Horizon this year I couldn't give a s*** about anything else!
It does seem they're getting cocky again though like they did after the PS2 era. Seems they're just willing to let the hype of the PS5 not being available get them through the first year or two.
