I was referring to Virtual Console not Voice Chat, my bad. Virtual Console similar to the Wii/Wii U would be a huge money maker for the switch.
This article is talking about the included NES/SNES games with the Switch Online. While there are some good ones on there, its not even close to the amount of classics they had available for the Wii/Wii U Virtual Console. I dont understand why it is so hard for them to just operate that on the Switch. I mean, almost the whole 1st p...
The fact that they charge for this "service" and dont have the VC is downright ridiculous! They could make a lot of $$$ from the VC on Switch. As an investor in Nintendo, this angers me so much! As a gamer and fan, this just saddens me.
I think we really need to look at what a "live service" game actually is. These days, the majority of games can be considered as such due to the nature of this era of game development: patches, post launch content, season passes, etc, etc. Some games change so much after updates that sites have started re-reviewing them 6 months in. Games are essentially still "in development" once they are released to the public. Even the current hot games like Ratchet and Clank get post ...
Is it any surprise that such a hulking console is not a popular item in Japan? The Switch has the perfect form factor for smaller entertainment centers. You can hide the dock pretty much anywhere. The ps5 is just this massive looking device that doesnt really fit well into any entertainment area. Thats why I fully expect a PS5 Slim sooner rather than later.
Lol at Breath of the Wild having "barely any content". Ummm, did you play it?! Im annoyed with the passes too, but to say theres barely any content is a pretty bold and downright ignorant claim.
"Rpg like The Witcher or FF15 15-20hrs."
Lol, so you basically want them to break ONE game into 3-4 games all being 15 hours each, cuz thats pretty much what SE is doing with FF7 Remake. Final Fantasy games have always been 50+ hour experiences, even back in the day. Episodic RPGs are worse than DLC passes. Give me the full game, not 1/3 of it for full price. With games being $70 now I expect a full experience for my $$$ not a 1/3 experience. You can keep that sh...
Thats the thing, "bloat" is such a subjective term that you cannot pinpoint what bloat actually is! Ones person bloat is another epic side quest. We get what we want out of the games we play. If hunting down koroks or other trinkets to get upgrades isnt your thing, maybe play and buy different games? There are plenty of games that dont have any of that stuff. Theres sports games, shooters, etc. Bloat, aka side content, is what makes games feel worth the money and if developers didnt...
Yeah ok, lets pay more money for shorter games?! F that. Then we will have a bunch of games that can be beat in a weekend. Maybe shorter games are good for the ADD generation, the ones who [prefer to watch someone play it on twitch rather than play it themselves. But most of us want good, meaty experiences.
I find it laughable when people mention "bloat" and "fetch quests" etc. Isnt that basically every game? And how short is too short? Ratchet and Clan...
It's mind boggling, especially after all the promises they made following the wii u era. They were talking about how they learned their lesson and it took them time to adjust to making games in HD, blah blah blah.
The switch was supposed to be them getting it right. No more software trickle, no more excuses. Now they have the pandemic to blame, but the sorrys aren't the same without Iwata saying them.
What the hell are all those 3DS teams up to?...
I bought ratchet used off somebody on Facebook the same week it was released for $40. It was definitely worth that to me even though I still felt it was way too short
Lol how was that trying too hard? Does PlayStation have Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, or any of the other games I mentioned? PS5s best games are Ratchet and Spider Man. No PS gamer I know has played Insominiacs brilliant and incredible Sunset Overdrive. Its on sale for $5 along with the Deluxe for $7.50. There are some other gems that PS gamers missed out on. Quantum Break for example.
If theres anyone having a hard time getting a PS5, i recommend a Series S as they are ...
Xbox has no games is a phrase I hear frequently on this website. There are some incredible games on sale right now. Some of last Jen's finest exclusives can be had super cheap. A lot of them also on Game Pass yes but if you want to own a digital copy now's the time. Sunset Overdrive deluxe version for $7.50. Quantum break for $10. Forza Horizon 4 ultimate for 44. Gears 5 game of the year for 25 the Ori games for 17. Just right there there's a lot of games and most of them feature ...
Yeah I agree banjo totally needs a reboot! Nuts and bolts wasn't bad but it wasn't quite the banjo game I was looking for.
As far as super Lucky's tale that one was all right but New Super Lucky's Tale was actually pretty sweet. That one was a "sort of" sequel to super Lucky's Tale with much better gameplay. It's been awhile since I played them so I can't remember if the story was a new or not but I just remember new super Lucky's ...
There just something that feels so right about a great Tomb Raider game. Its like the gaming equivalent of comfort food. This is a must play IMO, so dive in and enjoy!
This game caught some flack for some reason, but I thought it was amazing and a great way to end the rebooted trilogy. This is a great reason to revisit such an amazing and underappreciated gem!
Man, Dreamcast really brought alot to the table for the time. Sega was way ahead of the game. When I think back though, theres one thing that often gets overlooked. That is how much of a role a certain company had in its creation and with helping Sega create the online gameplay service: Microsoft. Thats right, the DC was essentially a collaboration between MS and Sega! This gets overlooked often, but when you consider how similar the first Xbox was to the DC, you start to see how the DC legac...
Hopefully with the amount of Remakes and proper remasters coming out, we can get Rockstar to do the same with some older GTA games. They dont want to give us new GTA5 story content? Fine, give us old GTA with awesome new graphics and none of this realistic physics crap. I want the classic gameplay with fancy new graphics. Hopefully thats what this Dead Space does, cuz the gameplay was always great. Hopefully this leads to more great stories in the DS universe!
Well they were certainly different, but they didnt have the same charm as OG Crash. They could have easily had a different anthropomorphic character in there and it would have been the same. They just threw the Crash name on there and hoped they would sell, which they didnt. They probably werent even Crash games to start with. Crash has a certain type of formula that you can expand, but cant mess with too much (ala Crash 4). Those Vivendi games were just not Crash games by design and thats wh...
But the OG versions were so good thats all we wanted! Along with a new Crash, which we got. Im cool with these kinds of remasters. The gameplay still feels great after all those years but the new graphics were/are still incredible! I feel like these kinds of things are just the companies testing the waters to see oif the market is still there for these kinds of games. Hell yes the market is still here! There are so many PS1/N64 era games that deserve this kind of treatment. It would bring the...
I definitely agree they will be hitting that proverbial wall fairly soon here, if it isnt already happening. There has been a severe lack of high quality 1st and 3rd party titles already! Theres a handful sure, but nowhere near the level of quality from the first 2 years. They relied too much on Wii U ports the last year or so, and the pipeline isnt looking incredible by any stretch.
They really messed up by not announcing a real upgraded model, instead giving us this incr...
