Ok so you're not counting the remasters and collections that are separate releases?! Those are still releases used to pad the lineup and thusly considered a release. Not to mention how many boxed versions of games that could have been DLC, so there are a ton of things they release within a series. But since yall apparently dont know how to research, Ill put a little something together. Here ya go, try and spin this however you want, but Sony is a SEQUEL MACHINE!
God of ...
For every ip you mentioned, Sony has 3 sequels to God of War, Uncharted, or Ratchet.
God of War has 12 games, Ratchet series has 16. Uncharted has 9. But sure, only MS does sequels.
Sony only have one?! Lol. There's literally at least 15 Ratchet games. Uncharted had at least 6, and god of war is on game 2 of it's reboot series. There's 12 God of War games out there! TWELVE!
God of War 8, Uncharted 9, Ratchet and Clank 10 are pretty accurate for number of sequels they've put out over the years.
He's just saying they have the freedom to make the games they want. They don't force the devs to make sequels, but many devs choose to work on sequels because they want to continue to tell stories in the worlds they've built. They have lots of in house devs now, so I imagine there will be a ton of new ip coming in the future.
I'll take all 3 with next gen Series X graphics please!
Jesus did anyone even read the article before commenting?! Didn't think so. He's just saying that they don't force the sequels on the devs, that they have the freedom to make the what they want. He mentioned Psychonauts 3. Says that game might happen, but he's "not going to tell Tim Schafer he has to make that."
It's sad that so many just bag on MS for "Halo, Gears, Forza" but fail to mention the many games they have put out over the...
If it's on PS4 you can play it on PS5 so technically it's still there. the sad thing is I bet Microsoft would be willing to put Game Pass on the PlayStation 5. But Sony has their competing platform with PS now so they just won't allow it. Sony has said numerous times in the past they don't see how it offers value to their consumers. I guarantee you if Sony would let them Xbox game pass would be on PS5 and Playstation gamers would absolutely eat that up. As much as PS gamers sa...
Yes I love that feature in GTA. I'm all down with more accessibility being brought into gaming.
And it is sad with some of these people that need to use games to show their skills in life LOL. It's called a freaking game yet people somehow think that if they're good then theyre better at life than others who aren't good at the game. It's the sad kind of God complex that keeps gaming looking like a niche hobby.
I've beat some of the most difficult games there are. I was raised on the old school where a games difficulty was part of its charm. I love a good challenge in a game but that doesn't mean that everybody has to. I know lots of people who won't play certain games because they're too difficult. Well if they were difficulty toggles on some of those games more people would play them simple as that. and see you just prove my point right there that's part of the toxicity of the ...
It's better than having people just watch others play it on YouTube or Twitch. Theres a while subculture out there that doesn't even play, they watch others play. And you want to bash on this?! I think it's a good thing to make games more accessible and easier to complete for more people. That's good for gaming
I'm all for these kind of inclusivity features in games. The medium can be enjoyed by more people only if it becomes accessible to more people. If you want the challenge, then by all means, turn the difficulty way up.
By the same token, those who just want to enjoy games should have an option to tone it down as well. The "Git Gud" culture of gaming can be very toxic, which turns people away from gaming. I like some difficult games, but no reason something like...
1000% this! If this was the new base model and only, $300 maybe it wouldn't be such an issue for alot of people. They could have easily dropped the base to $249 and sold this for $300. If they're charging premium, it better damn well be truly premium. But $50 more than Series S?! Lol, even that has a 500gb drive! They're helping MS still some Series S consoles. And hell, only $50 more for a digital PS5!? Once the new consoles are more readily available, this may be a hard sell.
It worked good for me too, but I didn't try it on the PC and only streamed some games to my PS4 pro when I tried the sub. It wasn't horrible, but the things the author points out are legitimate issues with games that require precision. There were small hiccups, but I will always prefer the download to avoid any of those issues.
I'd say you're lucky. I've got 2 Switch and 2 Switch lite for the kids, the only one that doesnt have joy drift is the new Animal Crossing system where the joys barely get used cuz I keep it docked and play with the pro.
Best bet is to grab a pro controller, but only the official Nintendo one as the 3rd party ones don't have all the features (HD rumble, amiibo, Gyro, etc). I cannot play my Switch handheld for more than 20 min, I just get cramphands. The joycons are good for very specific uses, but they are far and away the most uncomfortable controllers Ive ever used. Pro feels just right.
Old school Sega own lol. I remember those days well! Console wars were alive and well back then, just as they are today. I always loved both but that troll by Sega was always top notch and I make sure it lives on🤣💯
