Thats the gameplay loop. Yeah there are some rinse wash repeat elements, but that is with any game! They give you the tools to do all of the missions differently, so its only limited by your imagination with how to dispose of the enemies. Maybe it was a bit much in Origins and even in Odyssey. But Valhalla is a bit different than those as they brought back some of the elements of earlier games.

But as I said, that gameplay loop is there in ...

Kinect is definitely what killed the 360 and nearly Xbox altogether. A huge mistake and they almost didnt recover. Sure it got sales, but it was trash always has been and always will be.

Lol, my PS3 literally collected dust for a year before anything meaningful came out! Name one PS3 launch title that was a killer app?! They even had rappers joking about it in their. Bishop Lamont said, " Boy I aint playin games, this ps3" lol

The 360 set all the standards for what gaming would become. They had online play, cross game chat, Achievements, and best of all, great exclusives. The 360 was in a league of its own and Sony shot themselves in the foot with the PS3. It launched a year later with a high price and very few games. I still bought the PS3 at launch, but that was such a joke comparatively!

360 had some incredible exclusives and many of todays best series started there. Mass Effect was originally a ...

Well since AC started out as Prince of Persia rebooted, there you go, have another.

Considering how well the series is doing, better than ever sales wise, Id say youre in the minority there. But no, Desmond died like 6 games ago, and that is not the only thing that made this franchise. This all takes place much further back in history, have you not been paying attention?! Oh thats right, you didnt bother playing the last several, so how the hell you going to speak on it at all?! I liked the way this game let me visit with Connor's tribe at the very start of their beginni...

They are basically creating a hub for AC content going forward, rather than putting out a new game every couple of years. Does not say how it will be distributed, via disc or DL only etc. I imagine there will still be disc content released. But rather than have one studio make each game separately, they are having all their AC studios collaborate on content through the AC Infinity game/portal. I imagine something like a playable real world animus/hub world in modern day, or even the Ubisoft o...

In Valahalla, I played a mission where I essentially created Halloween by dressing up and going door to door looking for items for an ealdorman. This is not like anything I have ever played in an AC game and is the kind of thing that makes AC special. There are tons of nods to historical events and stuff like this peppered throughout the game. How would you call this stuff cookie cutter?! It is amazing that they are still coming up with things like this after all these games they have put out...

Boneheaded logic. Laughable that people are so entitled that they will say a game that is called something isnt actually that game because they dont like what its become. Thats like saying that Mario 3D World isnt Mario cuz its not the 2d Mario that I prefer. AC is still awesome, but if you didnt play them you wouldnt know. Valhalla is the best AC game yet, Ive played them all. If your not a fan then why even comment?! Jesus do you guys who always come on here and complain even play the games...

All of you saying AC hasnt been AC in years are clueless. Yall didnt play Valhalla, stop lying. Game is as Assassins Creed as Assassins Creed gets. Best AC since Brotherhood, and Ive played them all. I find it hilarious that some are calling for them to "reboot" the franchise. Isnt that what they did with Origins?! And then yall still complained. Valhalla is the merging of both styles and it is great. Also, isnt Assassins Creed whatever they make it, regardless of what the haters sa...

This game just didnt do much for me. These kind of games feel like they should be movies or Netflix series. The gameplay is just so dull. Gameplay is always king in my book. If the gameplay isnt as good as the story, youre just trudging along to the next story beat/cutscene. At least with a story heavy game like Yakuza, for example, there is fun gameplay and several diversions to keep you entertained. This has none of that kind of fun. Its essentially just a walking and hiding simulator. <...

Im a stockholder, and still annoyed they didnt increase the capabilities. Im worried that Nintendo's ambitions with games like Breath of the Wild 2 will be held back by the current hardware. Once the other platform holders "Switch" to more of a current gen (Series X/PS5) development cycle, the Switch is going to miss out on a lot of cross platform games. Developers/ Publishers want to be able to easily pare down ports to fit the Switch. Thats going to get harder the longer Nint...

Try it out for the jank and the laughable character sounds and dialogue. Youll have a few good laughs. Plus, theres some easy cheevos, just find a catapault and mash the attack button (RB) and boom, 1k+ hit combo in a few minutes.

I think theyre probably glad they released on GP. As you said, the guaranteed money. If they were dependent on pure sales, this game would have been a huge flop for them, even at the reduced $40 price. Its just a broken mess. Janky as hell gameplay, bugs galore, boring and dull gameplay. Hell, I stood against a catapault and got stuck, so I just mashed on the RB attack button to see if I could get unstuck, I ended up getting a 1000 hit combo by doing that for 10 minutes straight. The 5 or 6 e...

Every PS5 game I have, I bought used because I dont support the $70 price tag. I bought the new Ratchet & Clank 2 days after release from a dude for $40 because he already beat it. I am already half way thru my new game + at roughly 18 hours of game play. While it is a great game, I cant see it being worth the $70. With as many used copies there are floating around, I can see many gamers feel the same way. They sell the game to recoup some of their cost. Thats really helping Sony thrive l...

Its funny because I actually buy more games digitally than I ever have as a direct result of Gamepass. The sales they have are still great. You can still purchase any game on the system, its not like theyve ripped that feature away. If anything, I buy less MS 1st party games as I know those will be on GP permanently. So theyre still getting my $ thru the sub cost. But I have found myself playing and purchasing more indie titles that I would likely have never tried if I had to buy them to chec...

What, it knows where half-assed games based on decent licenses go to die?! I sunk a few hours to this to get some achievements on Game Pass. This game is truly a bad game. Usually I can find some redeeming qualities but the game play is just so bad and broken. 🤮

And I bet they all feel ripped off. This is one game I am damn happy I played on Game Pass and did not drop money on.

Well, I was curious how the PlayStation community would judge this game as it is the 1st new release since the ink dried on the MS deal. Judging by the complete melt down on this forum, looks like people don't truly care about the games anymore. It's still a PS5 exclusive for at least a year and clearly sony still has faith in it. They're even letting it be sold for $60, not the$70 premium.

But fanboys care more about the politics of the business than the games...
