"I brought it on ps4 for $60 now if I want the ps5 upgrade (and I have a ps5) they want that $10. "
"Ps4 owners only pay for expansion."
No you're getting it wrong again! They want $30 for you to upgrade your ps4 version to the ps5 directors cut. Where are you getting it's only an additional $10? You cannot just upgrade from the base $60 ps4 version to the base ps5 version. You HAVE to buy the dir...
What studios did they ruin with kinect games?! You tell me since you're so sure 🙄🤷
@ atticus
Have you not been following the announcements? They have tons of stuff in the pipeline. That's the thing is they give these teams the time and money to make the games that they want to make and make them as good as they want to make them. Everyone says they have no games while they're trying to make new blockbusters but that stuff doesn't happen overnight.
you act like Sony just came out of nowhere and started making all these great...
Yeah I feel like Microsoft is the opposite of EA as far as that goes. They kind of let the teams make what they want to make and just give them the financial freedom to make those games. Look at rare and double fine. Those teams are able to make the games that they want and they get the time and financial backing to make those games.
You have to wonder who they plan on buying next. How long has Xbox been trying to gain a foothold in the Japanese market?! They could literally buy any company they wanted. I've heard rumors in the past regarding square enix and Capcom. Some incredible IP would come under the Xbox banner if they were to purchase either of them. I think Sony kind of pushes the Xbox team to do this by trying to buy exclusive games for a year or two. Rather than just buying exclusivity to a certain game they...
The minis are nice, as long as they put the right games on there and enough of them. But I do wish they would come up with a virtual console system for the switch. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to play a back catalog of SNES, n64, GameCube, games all that stuff on the switch. They're missing a huge opportunity to monetize their incredible history.
@ settrip
Its more than that though, they are getting the ps4 players who paid $60 to pay $90 for the ps5 version.
The right thing to do would be to charge only $10 more to to the people who pre-ordered or bought for $60 on the PS4 through the PS store. Then it would feel like we were being rewarded for supporting the title early on. As it stands now, getting early supporters to pay $90 is a really crappy thing to do and will keep people like me from buy...
I dont know anybody justifying the $60 price tag for the worst Zelda game. I certainly havent seen that and wont be supporting that nonsense.
Stop thinking that Sony getting called out for nickel and diming their supporters is MS PR. There are real PS supporters on here voicing their concerns that Sony is trudging down a dangerous path by pissing off their early adopter supporters with shit moves like this one. ANY corporation that pulls anti-consumer crap needs to be called out! Stop being a Sony shill and recognize what is actually happening.
I used to like the Disney games that Capcom made. I wouldnt mind seeing some of these Ubisoft style open world games being adapted with Disney properties. Kids these days always want to play GTA or Assassins Creed. Why not make games like those, but kid friendly with Disney and other properties? The tech is there, it shouldnt be too hard to copy/paste the gameplay and such with other properties. If it was done right, even adult gamers would enjoy them. They would be a good way to explore the ...
I am curious to see how far they could push these too. Imagine having real-life locations in a GTA game for example. Would companies accept their in-game locations being robbed and looted?! Like, maybe that would help some people get their rocks off on that so they dont do it in real life lol
But in like a Yakuza game. Those stores and restaurants are pretty realistic as it is. Why not have it be Mc D instead of Smile Burger, etc? I think that could be cool AND help replace...
Im kind of interested to see about these in game commercials honestly. If done right and it helps them get rid of shit like loot boxes and other microtransactions, Im cool with that. I remember back in the day when Crazy taxi had real life locations like Pizza Hut and the like, that actually added a cool level of reality to the game. Im ok with them if done tastefully. I imagine Sports games with sponsored videos playing on the jumbotrons and things of that nature, those can add to the realis...
I bought the game digital on day one for $60. If I were to buy the PS5 Director Cut upgrade, thats an additonal $30,making the complete version of the game $90 for me. While the new version in a PS5 box with all the content is $70. Why the hell are they taxing their early adopters an extra $20?!
They want to charge $10 to upgrade to the PS5 Director Cut for someone who paid the full $60? Fine, no problem, Ill pre order it. But this kind of nickel and dime shit is going to c...
Thank you for breaking it down for those who cannot understand what is going on! Sony is shitting all over their early adopters here! If you bought the game at launch, which many did and helped the new IP surpass even their expectations, they are taking advantage of those very supporters whom they should be rewarding. Thats the problem. Companies used to treat their early adopters better, now they just take advantage of them.
No one is asking for the expansion for free. There is no option to upgrade the BASE version for free, like there are with other 1st party games. Miles Morales and Sackboy for example. You buy those games on ps4, you get the upgraded ps5 at no extra cost. With Ghost, there is no base version on ps5 to upgrade to! You have to either buy the expansion for $20 on ps4 THEN pay an additional $10 to upgrade that version, or spend $30 to upgrade the base ps4 version to the Director Cut PS5 version! E...
@ fgfgfgfgfg
Lol u keep shitting on XBL GwG and praising ps plus but the reality is they both have good months and bad months. And it's all subjective anyway, so trying to argue it as fact is laughable and part of the reason people look down on Fanboys. GwG and plus are the same damn thing lol. It's like arguing coke vs pepsi. This month ps plus is giving out a wwe game, another call of duty, and a walking simulator that was free on Xbox a year ago. Nothing special,...
Well the Microsoft published Xbox games are definitely coming. they've got a pretty stacked year and the next year I can only imagine is going to be insane. And that's the thing, with any new console release the platform holders are dependent on third parties. It just goes to show how strong the third party support is on Xbox the fact that they haven't had to do anything except upgrade their late gen Xbox titles, which many of them have been pretty significant upgrades. And they...
Yeah which makes me wonder why there is still a $10 fee to upgrade to the PS5 version. I'm more than happy to shell out another $20 to get the director's cut content. I only got the base game at launch cuz I didn't think the extra content in the deluxe edition was worth the extra money. But even after spending an extra $20 for the director's cut content they want me to spend another $10 to upgrade the base game and that content to the PS5 version. There is no way to upgrade th...
No that's not the case you still have to pay $10 to upgrade the PS4 version to the PS5. Even after you upgrade to the director's cut on PS4 you still have to spend another $10 to upgrade it to the PS5. If you don't want the director's cut extra content there is no option for you to upgrade your PS4 copy to a PS5 copy of the base game.
I've thought that Nintendo and MS could fix reach other's problems for awhile. It's like having those 2 close friends who you just know should date because they'd be so good for each other. But they keep doing their own thing and making little mistakes that wouldn't be an issue if they'd just get together.
