Looks like PlayStation fans need to start accepting Sony's new "live service" direction, it's about to become a staple of their 1st party lineup. 10 of these puppies over the next 4 years?! Sounds like the majority of future PS5 games will utilize some sort of live service. Hopefully we can stop hearing about how bad other companies are for making these kind of games. They're clearly working out for the companies that do.

That's more like it. Bigger and better than Dying Light in almost every way!? That's all I wanted! DL 1 was a cult classic. Some loved it some hated it. I personally had a blast with it so I'll be grabbing this on day 1. I've got $30 in space bux that expire in a week so I'm sure I'll get my $30 Worth of enjoyment to hold me over until Horizon comes out in a couple weeks ✌️

That too, yes. It's a deal that makes a lot of sense for a lot of reasons. As much as old school gamers despise live service games, they have become a necessary evil for the gaming industry. Live service and F2P bring in the money and give games a much longer shelf-life than one and done boxed games. The industry has changed and these kind of games have proven to be lucrative for gaming companies. I think both can co exist and Sony is right to lock in on that model without forcing their o...

It's about multimedia. Sony is leading the charge to right the wrongs of video game related movies and TV in the past. It only makes sense for them to lead the charge here. It's a differentiator between them and the other big titans of gaming companies. Microsoft, Nintendo, EA, Ubi, Activision, Take 2... None of them have a branch of their companies that focuses on TV and Movies. Sony has that market dead to rights.

And while other companies have been laughed at fo...

I really liked the 10 or so hours I spent with it on Series X. But once I experienced a few crashes I decided to put it on the back burner until the X/PS5 native version. Looking forward to diving back in!

Well then. I guess we can stop hearing all the hatred toward Microsoft, Ubisoft and others about their "crappy live service games" all the time?!

My question is why the hell was Bungie worth $3.6 when all of Zenimax/Bethesda was $7.5?! Either Sony way overpaid or MS got a steal In Bethesda. This makes that purchase look like a hell of a boon for Microsoft. Just the sheer amount of IP MS got vs 1 dev with how many IPs?

People thinking they're going tit-for-tat with Microsoft and that this is a response to the Activision deal are clueless. That's not even in the same category and these type of deals are usually months or even years in the making. Sony has had a tight working relationship with Bungie for years now, so an acquisition isn't all that surprising. Personally, I was not a fan of Destiny so I hope Sony let's them create an entirely new franchise.

First half of the year is all about Horizon. I have a feeling Starfield will be amazing as well! I don't see Nintendo putting out BotW 2 this year. That'll be a 2023 game for sure. Regardless, it should be a damn good year for gamers and I'm glad to own all 3 so I don't have to miss out on anything!

I was sure that MS would have bought out WB Games, if only to have Rocksteady and the Batman license to compete with Sony and Spiderman.

Man I'm so glad I moved to Central Florida last year as there are so many thriving arcades around here! I might just open one up myself.

Maybe not, but it was still a good game. I liked how they expanded things with Dying Light, but Dead Island was a great first attempt! I really liked all the Easter eggs and homages to other horror franchises sprinkled throughout. Sure it was a little cheesy and over there top, but it was a good happy medium between Far Cry and Fallout with zombies.

Absolutely, The breakaway cord was a revelation! I had my first child the same year Xbox came out. Once she started running around, this literally became a life saver. The only thing that sucked was if you lost the end piece.

I thought for sure theyd be announcing a "Family Plan" tier. But this is good news. I despise auto renew, especially when you redeem a code for the sub. More companies should follow suit. Auto renew should be something you have to explicitly approve.

@exterminator

Would there even be an upgrade fee if they didn't include a ticket to the movie?! I don't give a damn about the movie. Give me the free upgrade and shove that movie down someone else's throat. But hey, it's a good way for them to feign success of the movie. If they sell x amount of tickets it will be attributed to the fact they gave x amount of tickets away with this thing "for free" lol.

Personally I see a huge problem with the fact that people who got the PS plus version don't have the option to pay the upgrade fee. They have to buy the whole damn thing. That should be a benefit of PlayStation Plus. It is pure greed on Sony's part.

It should absolutely be free for owners of the original games. If the direct competitor offers these things for free then why shouldn't Sony? Oh because they had to add dual sense support and yada yada yada?! Well that's a feature of the system that's something that they could VERY easily patch in.

Stop trying to justify the greedy price gouging. The standard has been set, Sony chooses not to follow because they know that desperate PS5 owners will shell out the...

Probably not, but hot damn you are missing out! You have time to play it to completion and it's definitely worth it. The Frozen Wilds is great too! Do it!
