In game engine trailers so far. And you talking about hype? Sony are the hype kings, you must not remember all the times over the years they were called out over using cg trailers instead of in game assets for reveals. And if you are downplaying the significance of Bethesda games then that's just sad for you. Bethesda has made some of the most significant games in the history of the video game medium! Bethesda games are iconic and synonymous with gaming in the same way that Mario and GTA ...
Why do all these games need movies? Just stop. These can tarnish the legacy of a franchise and rarely ever do the source material justice. The only one I can think that truly worked was the Sonic movie. Why is Sony wasting money on these things?! How about a new Jak game or a remake even instead? We are also getting a new Twisted Metal movie/show instead of a game? What the hell is going on, is Sony now all MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE?!
Yeah I could definitely see the benefit of adopting this kind of strategy. Microsoft seems too focused on E3 and the holiday season. With all these studios they own now maybe they can spread out the release window too. E3 isn't the big show anymore. I feel like the Game Awards along with smaller events throughout there year is better.
It's absolutely the right call. Gamepass day 1 will be the differentiator. There are tons of games in the catalog they can add to Gamepass. There are also some franchises they can make Xbox exclusive without causing too much of a rift, like a new Crash and Spyro. I dont see PlayStation gamers being upset about those. But CoD, Diablo, Overwatch, etc should stay multi plat for sure.
I don't understand your janky ass thought process. So you'd rather pay $70 bux a pop vs $180 a year because you're "renting" the games rather than owning a disc that you never truly own?! I don't know if you've ever read those user agreements at the start of every game, but you're technically only renting most games whether you pay full price or not. For the cost of 2 and a half PlayStation games a year I get hundreds of games, way more than I'll ever pla...
If they can actually deliver Breath of the Wild 2 and Bayonetta 3 this year, then absolutely! As of now it looks like a very good year for Nintendo indeed.
I said the back half of the year. Flight Simulator, Psychonauts 2, Halo, Forza Horizon 5. Those were all great and all on GP. Plus I played the heck out of Back 4 Blood, Hades, Aragami 2, It Takes 2, The Show, State of Decay 2 expansions and many others all on Gamepass. My Xbox kept me more interested than my PS5. Sure some of those I could have played on PS5 but would have had to shell out hundreds to do so. I'm still in my free Xbox Live to Gamepass conversion time!
This is the way! I feel the need to own them all so not to miss the good stuff. Honestly it's starting to look like Nintendo is going to have the best year out of all of them for 2022.
It's fiscal year 2023, which starts for MS on July 1st 2022. So yes, I fully expect the deal to be completed before the holiday season. This would put this year's if CoD release on Gamepass for this holiday. Expect GP to hit a whole other level of value this year.
25 million Gamepass subs. New games every single week. If you actually play games then you know Xbox has a ton of momentum. Just came off a huge year where they had a big AAA release each month for the back half of the year. I'm playing a ton of stuff on Gamepass and getting thru some of the games I didn't have time for last year. Playing Dying Light 2 now. I don't know why people like to shit on Xbox so much. It's a great console with alot to offer. Haters gonna hate. It must...
Is there some secret trove of PS5 games I don't know about?! I've got Spiderman, Ratchet and Clank, Kena, Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal. Everything else is multiplatform and most likely on Gamepass. I played The Show on Gamepass day 1 rather than spend$70 on PS5. Deathloop and Ghostwire will be on Gamepass soon so I'm not wasting $150 there I'll just play them on GP.
And why would we sell the PS5 if we know the games will eventually come. Are we not entitled ...
Well in a week I'll have a reason to keep it on for a few weeks straight. And like clockwork? Lol. Where are all these games you're playing?!
I don't understand why it seems so hard for them to grasp how to create value for their subscription model. Something like Gamepass would be perfect for the Switch. Bring back the Virtual Console in Gamepass form instead of this trickle of additions. GP has new games every single week, NOnline gets new stuff when exactly?! The DLC access is a start, but there is a ton more that could be done
The Switch is starting to look really good for 2022! Kirby and Xenoblade 3 look solid. Really hoping for Zelda and Bayonetta 3, but Im not so sure we get either this year. Nintendo is starting to get some swagger back now that the switch is printing money. I think it's safe to say that Switch has the best lineup of exclusives out of the big 3.
Yep pretty much exactly that. I want to know what these people have been playing all year? I beat Ratchet in 2 days. Although I am pumped for Horizon, there really hasn't been a lot to brag about for PS5. Most of the good 3rd party stuff is on Gamepass. I've beat more games than ever in this last year but spent the least I ever have in a year on games. And best part, I have no massive backlog that I feel guilty about cuz I bought games that I didn't play cuz they were "only $...
That's fiscal 2023, so anytime after July 1, 2022 the deal could close. I'm betting this deal gets approved before the summer is over.
Neither Sony nor Nintendo had a great second half of 2021 while Xbox a ton of great stuff. Flight Sim, Halo, FH5, Psychonauts 2 and a ton of great indie stuff all on Gamepass. And some of the best games last year were 3rd party titles, several were day 1 on GP, Hades for example. There was also a ton of back compatible stuff that got enhanced to take advantage of the new boxes. Trust that there was plenty to play on Xbox, thanks for your concern.
2022 has Starfield, Redfall...
This game looks fantastic! But mouthful mode?? 🤣🤣🤣 How'd they know what the wife and I call date night?!
How the hell did they give Mafia such a great remake yet shit out this horrendous mess?! These games deserved better. San Andreas remade Mafia style would be the jam.
Well they keep delivering me great games to play in Gamepass so if that's your definition of underdelivering I'll take it. I'm still enjoying Halo Infinite Forza Horizon, Flight Sim, Psychonauts 2, and MLB The Show while playing new games like Nobody Saves the World, Skul, Edge of Eternity, Hitman 3, Deaths Door, and Rainbow 6 all for next to nothing as I converted 3 years of Xbox live gold to Gamepass. Those 3 years of gold cost me $90 total so I'm literally saving thousands ...
