Well said. I'm in the same boat. It's tiresome to see so many bag on Xbox for every reason and then turn around and defend this completely anti-consumer practice! They just don't know. I hear people defend it by saying stuff about the dual sense support and yada yada, but that isn't worth a damn upgrade fee in my eyes. That can and should be something patched in free for loyal supporters who bought your game last gen
It could easily just be a patch. Can't tell if sarcasm or serious, but there's absolutely no reason for this to be a $50 game. U4 and Lost Legacy have been on sale for $5 on PS4 in the last year. I can only imagine the backlash other companies would get for this practice. They pushed up the price and removed the option to purchase them separate on PS4 recently. That's some shady stuff but Sony gets a pass?! These kinda remasters could easily be PS Plus benefits.
Sure theyre great games, and I'll pay the upgrade fee. But it still kind of irks me that Lost Legacy is just DLC for Uncharted 4 that they decided to release as a standalone product. Now here we are and they're re-releasing and marketing it as 2 full games. It's not. LL is very short compared to U4 as it was intended to be part of the season pass for Uncharted.
I'm also a little tired of these rereleased games now. I understand that it pads out the library, ...
Why do sales numbers matter really?! But regardless, Halo was the 2nd best selling game in the US in December

Well Halo was also the 2nd best selling game in the US for December so there's that.

Id love a new title in all of these: True Crime, Transformers Cybertron games, Simpsons Hit and Run, Prototype, Incredible Hulk, Vigilante 8, Crash, Spyro.... man Activision put out some great stuff over the years! Alot of these are licensed games, but MS can certainly afford to pay for the licenses for new titles or rereleased versions at the very least.
I also wouldnt mind a huge open world Skylanders game without the toy gimmick. Just give us all the characters in one ...
For real. I got the Cyberpunk Xbox One X bundle and holy crap they did a great job with that system feel and design! There are etchings and textures everywhere. It even came with a slick baby blue HDMI cord. I wished they would have done that same design for the Series X.
This will have more of an impact late this gen and in following generations. There will be many Activision games that don't come to PlayStation in the future, but I don't think Call of Duty will become an Xbox exclusive, at least for the rest of this generation.
I feel like much of the stuff we will see become exclusive are the family oriented games. It's one area Phil has stated many times in various interviews he wants to expand on Xbox. Now with Crash, Spyro...
Didn't True Crime eventually morph into Sleeping Dogs?! I'll have more "GTA Clones" all day because those can be just as good if not better than GTA.
DL 2 is out just long enough before Horizon for me to comfortably get thru it.
I'm not sure there are any cons 🙈🤣
I'll just have to buy some shiny things and food, then all will be good 👍
No way they can mess up Dying Light 2. The fact they've spent so much time on it is what makes me confident it'll be a winner. It's not for everyone for sure but it looks damn good to me!
Regardless, it'll be on the back burner once Horizon is out! I have been waiting so long for that one and to see the PS5 really blow me away. Everything I've seen from Horizon on PS5 hardware has tickled my brain so I cannot wait for that one
I always thought PlayStation home was way ahead of it's time and a good view of what the metaverse would eventually become. Wasn't he still running Sony when that came out?
I just took the whole month of February off. Had too much vacay time accumulating so HR said I have to use at least 4 weeks. Perfect timing as I plan on getting Dying Light 2 and Horizon on day 1! Now whether or not I'll still be married after the month is another story 😁
Yeah I'm going to give it more chances but I don't like that I have to try so hard to like a game. I have a feeling it will click eventually but I just havent hit that sweet spot yet.
Ratchet was great, but it felt like half of a bigger game. Returnal just didn't do it for me, roguelikes are not my cup of tea. I found it rather annoying honestly. I tried to like it, even came back to it for another go recently but still just could not get into it. Forza Horizon and Halo were told for me. I have GP but still bought copies of both.
Nah they got fed up of Sony trying to buy exclusive rights to specific games and exclusive content for games like CoD. They pulled the bus move and said F that, we'll just but the whole damn company! If this was Sony making these moves, PS fans would be trying to justify it as Sony being businesses savvy, yada yada. Now they're all up in arms about how bad it is for the industry, like they care or know how it works. 🤷🤦 Lotta sad, salty ps gamers out there.
No, that's the thing. They rejoice when MS fails for some reason. They think that Xbox is somehow ruining their gaming experience because they are literally changing the game. What kind of fool sits there and disses a company giving gamers the most bang for their buck?! PlayStation only gamers that's who. They think that buying a game for $70 a pop makes it better, cuz obviously it cost more so it has to be better.
Right, so they went and made Destiny and have worked on nothing else... A game no one cares about. Halo is doing just fine by the way, without Bungies involvement.
Yeah that is some BS. We should have seen how this gen was going to be for Sony right from there. I don't like how dependant they are being on these remasters and how they've been nickle and diming the fans this gen. They're letting MS get a solid footing the same way they did in the PS3 era.
