Too had the truth don't give a lick about their feelings. This merger will be approved and I'm not so sure Microsoft is done yet, much to their dismay. Simple solution is to buy an Xbox 🙊

Oh the salt. This narrative is old and not relevant, and never was. MS tried many different things last gen that people didn't try because of this narrative. They had exclusive games from Capcom, Remedy, and even PlayStation darlings Insomniac last gen.

The amount of great IP they owned before this was crazy. Now it's just an embarrassment of riches. They are not playing the game anymore, they are creating a new one where they cannot lose. Sony and Nintendo will bot...

Call of Duty 2 was an Xbox console exclusive. Never came to PlayStation platforms. This was also when CoD really took off.

I kind of think that's where they're headed with it and regardless of what some people think, it's absolutely the right strategy for the future of gaming. Microsoft is ensuring that the Xbox brand becomes synonymous with gaming, regardless of where you play. That is also the main reason a deal like this will be allowed by the FTC.

The simple fact is that these games will not be tied to "Xbox Only" and that's why this merger will be approved by the FTC. Xbox games are available on PC and just about any device thru Gamepass. That alone is what will allow MS to buy up whoever they want, even if it takes from PlayStation fanbase.

Sony games are PS5 only and don't release on PC day 1. While that's good for PS5 gamers, Sony would be more scrutinized for a deal like this by the FTC be...

Here we go with the doom and gloom articles. It's a very savvy purchase for MS and it's right in line with what they are trying to do with Gamepass. Yearly CoD releases are like new seasons of your fave show.

Sony kind of started this too by buying exclusive content for many 3rd party titles, CoD included. If they want to get into that pissing contest with MS, they're going to lose Everytime as MS simply has too much money in the war chest. Sony is smarter to c...

This deal is huge obviously. Cant really quantify it at this point but this really is some game changing stuff here. No matter how you feel about it, rest assured Sony execs hearts just skipped a beat. MS is forcing some real tough decisions to be made. Sony really can't play this game with them so I don't expect any "counter" to this move. They need to just focus on their IP and keep doing what they do best.

The PS only gamer friends I have are very conc...

Well many people, myself included, believed that Activision Blizzard was an impossible buy. It would cost too much is what everyone believed, but here we are. I don't believe there are any limits now. I fully expect a huge Japanese publisher to be next though. Bandai Namco, Sega, Capcom or Square Enix

Regardless of everything, I thought it deserved a sequel.

Yeah I think this gets overlooked a lot when it comes to this game. There was a lot of hoopla about biker culture and the average white guy protagonist. It basically fell victim to cancel culture. Oh well, nothing wrong with 1 and dones!

Radical Games and Beenox are 2 underrated studios included. Hopefully MS can get some Marvel IP for those studios to work on! We never got another Incredible Hulk game and Beenox made the best SpiderMan titles before Insomniac took the IP and made it Amazing! Maybe Toys for Bob can take some of that dormant Rare IP and make something magical. So many studios and IP here its crazy. Id love for an open world Spyro game. A new Crash Kart racer. So many under the radar things to digest in this ac...

What in the actual EFF just happened?! How the.... Why the... I thought maybe Ubisoft or even Take 2, but who the heck saw Activision on the radar?! So many one time synonymous with PlayStation franchises now under Xbox family?! This doesn't feel real.

Is there another one of those 10k point achievement quests this month? They haven't run that in awhile and I haven't seen anything about it.

It's actually a pretty good game on series X. Runs great, I didn't encounter too many bugs in what I played. Problem for me is that I can't pull myself to play more knowing the new-gen version is not far off. They really should have just delayed this until the new system versions were ready.

SO was one of my favorite new IPs last gen. There's a few gems Microsoft had exclusivity to that got the cold shoulder from gamers. There's always been this notion that Xbox One had no exclusive games yet they were some big time exclusives that, for some reason, get left out of the conversation. Dead Rising 3, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive are the big 3 imo that should have gotten a much better reception. Those still hold up well and are underrated gems.

There's a quote from one of the developers saying as much in the article. If you'd read the article you'd know it's not incorrect 🤷🤦

To quote developer Lindsay Thompson, "This game was a huge proving ground for all the work we ended up getting to do later in Spider-Man, Miles, and Rift Apart."

I agree with the sentiment. While I hate to see free speech stifled in any way, there are clear community guidelines that everyone who's signs up and signs in agrees to. If you can't follow them then you get booted and lose your ability to play there. It's not stifiling free speech like Facebook/Twitter does. We play online to escape the real world drama and I'm glad there are these rules to help alleviate the toxicity that the anonymity of online play can create.

We all know that journos don't often finish the games they're reviewing. It's sad. I don't trust them at all and would rather go by something like Metacritic where you can see a general consensus about a game then check it out if you like what's being said about a particular game. Some games have great critical reception but bad fan reception and vice versa. It's much easier to see who's paid off and who didn't actually play these days.

Well said. I'd much rather have a game take Weeks on end vs a single Weekend!
