30fps is unbarable with a mouse though. I am guessing by sandy bridge laptops you mean the gpu that is integrated in sandy bridge cpus.
Though anybody expecing to game properly will have a dedicated video chip in there. So 30fps on the weakling embedded gpu makes 60fps no problem at all for most dedicated graphics chips :O
A cheap 5650 chip is about 4x to 5x more powerful and it will run a game like mass effect or portal 2 at 60fp...

There needs to be competition in the retail sector, also - even if digital distributors aren't out to rip you off they still do it by accident because they don't track and update prices appropriately. Also, on Steam a LOT of new launches are CHEAPER if you buy the disk - which then goes on to install itself through steam, so thats the same thing for as low as half the price sometimes (I got GTA4 shortly after launch...

Cloud is a term that marketing idiots use to describe servers. It's almost as simple as that (you use computing resources like hard disk space elswhere but on the device you are accessing them on - console, pc, etc.).
If trade-in wasn't possible the retail price would (should) drop dramatically. firstly, steam is NOT cloud gaming. It is digital distribution, totally different from OnLive. Secondly, true cloud gaming (onlive) has far too much input lag for shooters, racing games and many other types of games. Why would streaming the game be illegal? They can't copyright the output that the software makes from a graphics chip, that is like Microsoft copywrighting the pages you print through your printer using Word.
The copywright laws for games cover resources, programming logic and IP. You can't "steal" a stream of a game.

Looks amazing. Apart from some of the textures being too low res. But the engine probably adapts the texture resolution which it streams from the hdd to keep the frame rate at 60.
