Hmmm... A good list, but I doubt anybody except the author would describe it as perfect. I wouldn't even try to make a list of top 10 fps games because I love too many of them too much. It would have far more ties than the author of this article :P
One thing I don't understand is why most people prefer TS2 to TS3, TS3 is TS2 with more content and a really awesome campaign.
I would swap out Bioshock for Perfect Dark. It hurts to not see CS/CS:S on the ...
This mod would look way better than killzone 3 if it had some nice depth of field and SSAO in the rendering.
There are some bits that could do with a little more detail/shape, but its a user-made mod - so it has achieved loads and should be played by any Oblivion fan.
no... final fantasy is maby a little bit better, and then there is morrowind which is loads better. Fallout is better in some ways but worse in others, I trust that Skyrim be amazing - but nobody knows yet.
this ^
Also.
At the moment, they can't develop a machine that will perform at the cutting edge to be retailed at a reasonable $300-$400 price. The wiiU's performance is about all they could manage for that price - and it will perform extremely well (like a $650 PC), but not enough for developers to go overboard with amazing graphical advancements as seen in the likes of the samaritan demo.
When the 360 came out, it performed amazingly for the ...
The best thing anybody will/can every use Kinect for :P
720p is plenty for consoles to be honest, PCs need a higher res because of the types of screen it is likely to be displayed on and the distance you will be playing from - for textual and UI considerations.
4-man squads may be important to keep the pushing and respawning balanced.
Apart from that... yeah, without a commander it is just BC3.
But as long as the guns don't feel like arse, as most of them in BC2 did, then its no problem to me. I just w...
The player limit on consoles is due to it being peer to peer. It cannot be increased without causing more lag (than the huge amount that there already will be much of the time).
:OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The Beta is in Alpha? How can that happen?
That means you care, to at least some quantity of careage for which there can be a lower amount...
Well, PD has been done. So there is less reason to do Goldeneye - but they still should.
Goldeneye Source is pretty good, it has a nice clean feel to the shooting that they have made specifically so it feels similar to the original while being different. I would say it is probably the second best bond game I have played, and it's free.
If they were to remake goldeneye, the only thing anybody would want them to change would be the graphics - altering the c...
Emulation ftw.
edit:
I'm not quite sure why somebody did RE4 when it's available for PC anyway :P Maby they took those textures?
Nice article. I have exactly the same feelings for the franchise.
The new splinter cells are still awesome games, but they are just not splinter cell, why would Sam spend 30-odd years perfecting his stealth work only to decide to ditch all that and risk dieing all the time?
Chaos Theory had one of the best single player campaigns I have ever played. Up there with OOT, Perfect Dark, FF7, Halo, CoD1, San Andreas, Morrowind etc. Those games that are just legenda...
But all publishers are no longer required, we have the internet for distribution now. All they do is steal money from platform holders (Sony, MS) by not paying royalties and they also steal from their developers and FORCE them to make bad games or keep making the same crap and then close them down because of bad sales.
Developers should just outsource any services that a publisher would normally provide, like localisation, marketing or bad Q/A testing.
But......
Nothing new. Many trees and buildings in the more recent BC2 maps wern't fully destructible for the same reasons.
GTA5 will probably be announced Q1 next year for summer release, we would have heard about it already but they will have to delay everything to get the WiiU version tested so they can do a simultaneous release. Oh, and I have information confirming that it will be in san andreas.
what?
do explain.
Well, the last op flash was mess of bugs and confused AI wandering in circles/getting stuck in walls/not moving at all. So I will never trust that developer anymore, they are forever buggy to me.
No. You do own the right to access whatever software material is on the disk.
Obviously you don't own the IP (copyrighted content), I never said that.
Oh, and it is only the eula that says they can "revoke" access. Legally, they cannot because you own the physical disk - with the physical properties that bounce light off it in such a way. Therefore you own the right to parse that binary data in whatever way you see fit. That is the reality.
A few reasons (In order of their importance, I think):
# People have bad impressions of PC gaming because retailers often totally rip their customers off - so people in general rarely have a gaming capable machine without explicity paying too much for it. Normally, the price of a mid-end home PC with a low end graphics card that isn't designed for intensive gaming costs more than the components that make up a capable gaming rig with a high-mid end graphics card - and that...
