New splinter cell games are junk though.
And theres no point putting it on PC because it will be a buggy console port again anyway, we don't want those.

It has better AI than the other shooters...
Take CoD for example, where all the AI do is continually spam infinite grenades at you (just like the multiplayer).
And Crysis, where the AI stand about and maby shoot at you a little bit, standing still, before eventually dieing after the 300th headshot on them.
And operation flashpoint where the AI get stuck in walls or simply stand still and "crash".
Or Mass Effect, whe...
There were never any HL2DM servers when I had it on my old steam account :(
In 2005 or something.
"should you really be that comfortable with this mod floating out there without any regulations whatsoever on it"
Yes. Do you not understand private servers? They are NOT a democracy, the owner has the right to do ANYTHING he/she wants. Don't like it? Find another server or pay for your own.
"Someone could make a counter mod that would tell the f2p kicker mod that the account trying to join is a premium account when they really are not"...
It's to stop aimbotters repeatedly joining.
If it can stream live gameplay then surely it can be used to DDoS CoD players? (the host's upload bandwidth won't be very high). Lol @ Activision's non-thinking. That is why a lot of other games don't do that, but CS:S has had it for a very long time - though it runs off dedicated servers so it can't be abused as easily. I hear DotA 2 will also have live streaming, but it is peer 2 peer like CoD... interesting.
Sounds like you need to try PC gaming. All the impurity over here has simply leaked in from the changes in the console industry. Most PC developers actually care about the end user, because they don't have higher-ups controlling what they are allowed to do (it's an open platform).
What you speak about above, is why I havn't been doing a lot of console gaming this gen. I only bought my 360 for Halo, and my PS3 for MGS4.
Things were a lot better las...
Kinect is just 2 webcams and some nice software (that runs on its internal CPU because the 360's cpu can't be loaded up with extra processing).
The key thing is NOT gesture recognition. Its ability to actually pick up the front and sides of what the cameras see as actual 3D polygonal information is where the magic happens, and is what sets it apart from things like eyetoy - which uses 2D scanning and recognition techniques.
But kinect in general is a ...

Some good points coming out here.
But yeah. My main issue with the UDK is that it has updated the input system and it now causes horrible issues with high DPI mice because they use the windows cursor rather than the raw mouse hardware input... Which is the worst decision ever because it causes 'negative acceleration' unless you are gaming at a very high res (2650x1600 or above).
It probably came around when they changed the input to better support mot...
It's the easiest out there. Unless you are a programmer, in which case you will HATE it.
As long as it isn't jam packed with bugs like Driv3r was then it should be great. But I don't trust them to be able to do that after they released that last mess of bugs, blatently ignoring them. I'll have to try it out before I lay down any cash, otherwise I am voting for buggy games like every other idiot out there. Time will tell...
I prefer source. The editor is easier to use and the engine itself is considerably more efficient, also it has far superior AI controls.
UDK is so damn bloated and it is designed for Artists, not developers. Also, by default every UDK game feels the same, it takes a lot of work to give it a "feel"; ie, you have to go into the low level and modify the classes and methods of the engine - which is what they are trying to say is wrong with source.
In sh...

But anyway, yes internet connection has been a problem. Consoles generally use peer to peer; for a game to be published for release on the 360 it cannot exceed upstream usage of 128kbps. Even though any standard connection should have at least 400kbps upstream and the game is supposed to choose the most appropriate host (though it rarely does, because there is physically no way to measure all the factors). I think forge mode i...
Most of the bad AI we see at the moment is a result of bad programming/engineering and QA testing, not a lack of system resources.
The point about downloadable titles is very true, though it has already come to fruition this generation to be honest. But game streaming is a false economy and is only remotely successful because of marketing, it may be viable in 10-20 years however.
All the bad points have already happened...
