So there is a game coming out and it's an fps?
Nice info there... I will have to check it out some time when there is a reason to.
XBL should be free and it will need more good games (as in, more than 2 or 3).
Lost Odyssey and Halo. That is all.
Apart from the textures, because they physically cannot fit in RAM (even at medium).
?
Action replay tweak a Halo 2 game mode so the bomb arm time is 0 seconds and the detonation time is 0 seconds :P
Find 15 friends and have a 1 vs 15 single-base assault - it is immense.
Also. Counter-op in perfect dark was a cool idea.
Then you also have prophunt in counter strike, zombie mod in counter strike, gungame in counter strike. All 3 of them are incredibly awesome multiplayer modes with thousands of unique maps that make the game worth owning...
Actually it was Activision that went apeshit. They stole hundreds of millions from Sony and tens of millions from IW - so IW walked.
True :P
Marketing ftw!

"GameGuideDog: Um, RN, 30fps is realtime video. That’s the same rate we see things if we never blink. For folks who are thinking 60fps is faster, the technical term is 60i meaning ‘interlaced’ video. It’s still 30fps but served faster only due to interlacing half a frame apart at the same instant seeming to be smoother (think HD). Again it’ still 30fps after the final conversion."
This is total bull. Most modern TVs are 50Hz or 60Hz, only at 30Hz would 60fps be re...
Substance is right.
TW2 already has a base of DX9 shaders & other rendering code that will instantly work on the 360. For the PS3, they have to re-write all that and a lot of the other code - and infact restructure the entire multithreaded architecture of the game. The PS3 uses OpenGL for a start, and it's GPU is far less shader capable than the 360's but the SPUs are there to be used for that, however they require entirely new custom programming that differs grea...

Interesting.
But anyway, graphics aren't important - the game itself is pure boss.
Also, I played it as low as it could possibly go on my laptop (ATI 5650 1GB + i3 2.4GHz) and it looked better than most console games. So unless they are lying, it will be one of the best looking console games - and certainly the best one with that type of environment (ie, not another corridor shooter...).
It will probably look excellent apart from the texture quality and screen res. TW2 had some fairly fancy shaders, they should all work great on the 360 without making it suffer much.
Witcher 2 had flaws? The bugs... yes. Nothing else was flawed whatsoever.
Anyway.
I would expect the 360 version to have some very impressive shaders and lighting, it's GPU is fairly powerful. But the texture resolution will be extremely low compared to even low-end PC settings (video memory limitation).
I played it with a controller on PC, and it worked extremely well (actually like they had designed it for the controller...).

The intention of the law is to reduce piracy (which it wont) so it would only make sense if it was worldwide.

If I was to need a new ps3 I wouldn't get sound because my monitor doesn't have speakers (high-end monitors don't/shouldn't have speakers in them). And the speakers that I do have don't have fibre input.
Red Orchestra 1 is brilliant, but the videos of 2 have put me off it - though I'll still get it caus its cheap and they deserve more sales just for how good killing floor was.
