exactly KageMonkey.
for some reason the world is full of idiots who don't understand.
whoever disagreed with you is an ignorant fool.
even with fibre connections to all homes, the lag will be very noticable. not only that but most people have inferior routers, and bad contention ratios. so the connection will be inconsistant. even if something like 50ms was achieved there would still be noticable input lag, because the packets wont necessarily be aligned with the fram...
itd better be free with the epic input lag that will occur. love the way they lie and say there will be no lag, lol what idiots - clearly don't understand networking.
ps2
good point... this kind of thing happens a lot. And the first time you notice it you will be greatly annoyed; but eventually it is possible to live with people's ignorance. Ever seen a black man depicted in an anime? it is that kind of thing - not racism but it turns out offensive anyway.
sony are starting to advertise more now tbh. I noticed though, that they are copieing M$'s tactic: take a multiplat game and have their logo shown at the end :/
we heard this ages ago, stop posting junk on n4g
the hell? loads of those games arn't exlusive, and you missed some brilliant ones: like lost odyssey
get this junk off n4g
what the hell. I saw these screenshots days ago, they are not new.
glad you bought it on the pc. nobody should ever buy valve games on the xbox they are just nowhere near as good. that said i thought l4d2 was bad - or relatively so
60 quid with a controller - what are you on about? that makes the game 30 quid, especially if you wanted a controller too. also I actually thought it was more fun than halo 3 - perhaps not on purpose though ^_^ and bundled in with all the halo 3 dlc, it's a really good deal.
valve are good for counter-strike. Probably the best game of all time.
Though it is mostly a fluke: the programming and design is horrible in many respects - but somehow it has an awesome "feel".
l4d doesn't count as a game in my opinion, it got boring far too quickly. The Half-life games are all excellent. TF2 is not very good, it is well designed but I just don't like the multiplayer design, the maps are bottlenecked incorrectly and flow weirdly. Portal i...
bungie are awesome, the other 2 can die for all I care.
I say remove Valve and add Tripwire Interactive. Tripwire are an awesome bunch. Small dev team making what is important in thier games. Sure the production quality could be improved but content wise games like killing floor are really fun and good. Not only that but tripwire's games are very nicely priced and their dlc is really really cheap - as it should be. They also release regular free content updates.
you are completely wrong, since the 360 far less people have headsets. On the original xbox most people did.
I will agree that the headset issue is an advantage over the ps3 however - sometimes it is important for the gameplay and helps you meet other people.
still... this article is total BS. sony are not making a premium service, they are adding all those features to their free service. a premium service would be complete suicide.
nintendo will come out on top, followed by microsoft, followed by sony... why is there even an article on this?
if we excluded north america and the UK from this - the two over marketed countries where fail machines seem to end up more popular it would end like this:
wii followed by ps3 followed by xbox
sounds interesting, but I care more about the high end desktop chips/cards. I suppose they have people working on them behind the scenes. But they make less profit so they won't be out at the time best for us :( oh well if they want to let ATI take over the market it's their loss.
well stated. Infact 90% of the articles on this site are inferior in quality or content. Or simply posted to get hits on some rubbish amateur site (not even one of those good amateur ones...).
However ones like this provide good discussion
True... though the crime levels here in Scotland are quite low. EG I live in one of the top 10 most burgalled postcodes in the country and none of our neighbours nor us have had any experience of it. Well that could be due to postcode statistics being too generalised... not sure why they are trusted for insurance and the likes in that case, but that is another discussion altogether.
you missed killing floor
