isn't the game only an 18 due to the airport level? why then does the multiplayer component count - not only that but on pc the players would be using voice chat, so that takes the chat aspect out (plus plenty of unrated or rated 15 games with voice chat)
I think the host's packets are delayed on purpose to the average ping of all the clients.
Not entirely sure though, but there was an interview linked somewhere on n4g in an article where a representitive of IW said something that hinted that. If I had the game I would do some tests.

360 is more expensive than the ps3 when you include the cost of accessories and xbox live, I check this comparison every month or so. Almost always the ps3 comes out about £80 cheaper for 1 year. Not only that but the ps3 and its accessories are less likely to break.
I have to agree that the ps3 is the best console platform in most ways, but I disagree that it is the best for playing games - ONLY because microsoft bought out all the multiplats and they had to be made inferior to run on both systems, therefore not allowing the ps3 to use it's awesome for titles like gta4, tekken 6 and ff13 which would be FAR better if only on the ps3 :(, in that respect I kept my 360 (bought for me, I wouldn't do that) - I wasn't planning on getting any console in this gen...

As long as it's agreed that the gameplay on the server is void then it's just messing about (also helps you detect cheaters on proper servers). The annoying issue with MW2 and the likes is that your account is linked to your game, so if people cheat and your permenant stats are effected it really is annoying - or on cs when your favourite server is infested with a cheater...
Anybody with a brain knew that about 1 nanosecond after IW announced there would be no dedicated servers.
Also, apparently the host is given artificial lag so they don't get an advantage. I can't remember where I heard that but there was a quote from an interview that hinted something along those lines: that the host wouldn't get an advantage (which, by the way is/was an EPIC lie, if you don't like the game you can return it for false advertising, and please do so no more disaste...
idiot. the reason this issue happens is because of the p2p system, the same system console games use :/
other pc games have vastly lower pings, because the servers are hosted in professional data centres and are running on more specific hardware (and not rendering any graphics or calculating audio)
