there is a tiny difference, but it is simply in the colouring of the image - not the render quality.
the 360 image appears a little more defined, but like I said it's just in colour settings not the actual graphics of the game
remember that consoles output a picture to be displayed on a TV not a PC monitor - they have different traits.
both look like ass compared to PC anyway
fps cap isn't really a problem.
There are however 2 big problems: aim assist and forced mouse smoothing.
all the issues above can be fixed, however.
Still, they could have paid a little more attention. It's not exactly hard to default it with good settings instead of the bad ones they chose as default.
why paint the mona lisa then give her a pink beard
Wow, first person is news?
... anyway.
Reminds me of system shock 2, damn that game was amazing. (bioshock is basically a watered down high res remake with a different storyline and fancier/newer tech)
I can see what he is talking about. To cover the cost of a console game it has to retail upwards of £30, when talking about "Getting brand new IP noticed" it makes sense that people will be reluctant to buy something they don't know.
That is something that won't affect the PC market, costs are far lower - particularly if the only channel of distribution is digitally. I have already been spotting lots of new IPs getting popular due to the lower price bra...
Interesting, but will it be another bugfest?
Either way, I am intrigued.
'Fakest' commentator voice ever :P
I'm looking forward to this and I hope the pc version isn't a (flawed) console port, if it is I'll still buy it.
Where does "Revived" come into it?
But yeah, it is a refreshing change. If you can still kill someone with a few shots to the head then that is what most people will stick to though.
My gripe with it is the use of the Unreal engine, which makes games feel very similar - if they really cared about doing something interesting and different they would have programmed an in-house engine and I guarantee the game would be even better, not that it would be...
"Aa kills video cards in ue3 for some reason" - thats because ue3 uses deferred rendering which has been a popular technique for games these past few years. It opens up some nice graphics that consoles wouldn't be capable of pumping out otherwise but it does have drawbacks such as odd antialiasing (which consoles can't handle at nice fps anyway if they want lots of polys and nice shaders). Deferred rendering will be ditched next generation due to the huge advancements in gpu...
metacritic are full of crap anyway (most of the time)
Everyone loves Sergeant Johnson :P
what a nutter :(
who even plays gta4 now anyway.
The next version will likely be the same but with tessellation.
To be honest, unreal is capable of some incredible graphics (so is the older version of unreal) but the problem then becomes the frame rate it can sustain and the input lag it causes. Actually, unreal is a rather inefficient engine overall because of the general purpose features - if developers have the time and skills to make a proprietary engine they can potentially have far better frame rates than unreal, thou...
It's infested with all fanboys :P
Except PC fanboys because we usually have better things to do (on our PC) than flame. But not always :P
yeah.
also, i dont understand why a CG trailer should do anything to make people excited about a game. especially when its not accompanied by in game footage or screenshots
lol, 3 disagrees for stating the truth
fairly sure the usa has a national debt of over 8 trillion USD.... the largest in the world by several times over. "their governments have entered into a financial crisis"
the financial crysis in the whole world today was caused by the usa
also lol, how the hell is linux commie software? im quite sure it was programmed in the usa by a finnish guy
also: "a surplus of people that want to "make games for a living""...
judging by the crap screenshots linked by this, yes. not judging by the ones prodigy posted though.
if someone wants the title "best looking" they should put the best looking screenshots on the page.....
edit: oh, also. the skyrim screenies are in noob-box resolution ( http://uk.ps3.ign.com/do...
but environments, sound effects, characters, gameplay that is like call of duty is like saying that game is like call of duty
There are only 4 screenshots on that page and they are highly selective close-up environments, compare those to some skyrim ones...
The witcher 2 would probably be the best looking game of all time if they took the oppertunity to use dx11 tesellation properly (metro doesn't use anywhere near its full potential), skyrim being concerned more with multiplat compatability. Also, the skyrim pics are probably from 360 so imagine them on a proper platform.
I've pre-ordered it already too :D gonna need a new graphics card now lol :(
I like the way cd projekt red stand in the face of adversity and focus on a PC title where other devs run to the multiplat/console camp because they are afraid of the pirates.
Treat the potential pirates well and they will be happy to pay for the game, offer them a ported piece of junk and they are going to get a cracked version instead.
The PC platform has by fa...
