The only thing that has improved in the industry in about 10 years is the technology - which isn't the most important thing.
So even if it is outdated, it could still be an amazing game.
I won't know till I'm playing it to be honest, I just hope it isn't bad, if it's anything else I will be happy.

To be honest, microsoft knew the dvd would be an issue that was why they were interested in hddvd.
If they shipped xboxes with hddvd drives built in then the situation would be different. It is really annoying, they always try to get the 360s graphics on par with other platforms - the console has the performance (just) to do so but it puts so much demand on the dvd's capacity and limits how much content the game can have on all platforms. It will be a great game like every battlefield but it will still be full of bugs and have broken/laggy account servers.
I am glad they have updated the engine, the old one was a laggy mess.
They don't want to put too much gameplay in or we will all see the bugs before we buy it!

You have to wonder; they are trying to develop a top shooter and their playtesters/devs/whoever that idiot is have absolutely no idea how to play shooters.
It does look awesome though, hopefully it will have some actual gameplay unlike the first one.
