I REALLY want a PS3. It is an amazing piece of tech. Just like I love my PS2. But I'm waiting until the price drops and those incredible exclusives hit store shelves. Its not a matter of IF I will get a PS3, its just a matter of when.

And, what helps me be patient is I'm playing amazing next-gen games on my 360 - and catching up on PS2 exclusives I'd missed.

All I want is for both to have incredible exclusives and multi=platform games to be comparable to each other - unlike the Clancy games for last gen where the XBOX had a clear edge over the PS2.

I want the industry to do well. What actually concerns me more than anything else is the huge rise in hand-held and casual gaming. I don't want companies to stop making the mature, complex, story-driven games in order to make the next great puzzle game. - I do own a DS Lite by the way....

I don't think so. Look, I'm sure the failure rate has been higher than average - and though my launch system still works flawlessly, my bro-in-law in on his third - and he's as careful with his stuff as I am.

I want to see some hard facts to back up this 1500 - 2500 per DAY claim. Now, if it was per month, it would make sense - based on what they are selling per month - I forget the most recent figures - but this would put the number around 3-6% I'm guessing.

when it comes to these interviews, they are always talking out of their rears(to be said like Madeline Kahn in "Young Frankenstein").

Phil will not concede ANYTHING, and he acts as if we don't realize he's posturing. If you want us to respect you - and more importantly, the companies you represent, try being just a wee bit genuine.

Its not as if there are no games to play. Plus, the console online community is getting to the point where most games' online life doesn't die three months after release. People are still playing Quake, BFMC and all the Tom Clancy games and COD 2 on LIVE.

And the games that released last winter - Gears, GRAW2, R6: Vegas, COD3 all still have a huge online community.

Too many games...too little time - and money!

Since it takes about 6 months after the Japanese release...

I REALLY want a PS3 - it is an incredible piece of tech., but things like this keep pushing my purchase back. I'll need at least 5 must-have games before I'll purchase it. So far, none have actually released - Lair will likely be the first on the list and possibly Uncharted next.

Right now I'm thinking summer 2009. Price should be good by then and some must play games will be Greatest Hits.

I'm a licensed therapist - I work with troubled kids and their families.

A behavioral addiction(gambling, sex, video games) does have an effect on brain chemistry, and it can be addictive. Now, the behavior in and of itself is not to blame. It is the emotional/physiological make-up of the individual.

I do think there needs to be an official diagnosis for behavioral addictions for insurance reimbursement - but not one specifically for videogames or any other spe...

My wife can hold her own at Pac-Man, but if I hand her the controller for something like Ghost Recon, she's lost.

Many teens today can text without looking - under their desk during class.

I understand the point, but I don't necessarily agree. Many games may be easy from a finger dexterity standpoint, but require thought and strategy - solving the puzzle, beating the boss.

And games offer a variety of difficulty levels - God of War offers three an...

I wish we could see a comparison of games played of the same game - like R6 Vegas for instance. I guess it would have to be ratio of online games played per copy sold for it to be accurate.

Anyway, forgive my hunch that 360 owners play more online than PS3 owners. I did not think it was too far of a stretch...

MS already cornered the hardcore online console market. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of PS3 online players also have a 360. These people will not pay for two subscriptions, only one. This way Sony doesn't force a choice on an unproven (Sony online) and a proven (LIVE).

Once Sony gets some credibility and history with their online system, then there will be some real pressure for MS to either drop the price of LIVE or Sony will be able to charge for theirs.

Will rent this one too. Fun games - but not worth 60 bone.

$600 plus a component cable, plus a headset, plus another controller, plus a couple games, plus tax. This is what I will buy WHEN I get one.

However, as for those games - none are out yet that justify the price.

Look, for the price of all of the above, I can get about 12-13 games for my 360, and I can name more than that that are likely purchases from Assassins to UnReal 2007 and everything in between(Halo 3, GTA4, Bioshock, Mass Effect etc.)

I'll...

because EVERY company is trying to make money - your mortgage company, utility(internet, gas, electicity, water) companies, the company who made and sold your computer you are sitting at right now, the grocery store and the companies that made and sold - and repairs the refrigerator your groceries are in.

I'm sorry. I understand the frustration of seeing your hobby becoming more and more expensive, but your comments are not thought through. Companies are fighting each other f...

Some of you people need a lesson in economics. Capitalism is fair as far as Sony could have secured exclusive content for GTA4 just as well as MS. If MS beat them to it, or had the resources to secure the content, well, thats the way it goes.

They ultimate goal of capitalism is to get rid of the competition and grow the company as big as possible or at the very least, to survive in the market and make a profit.(Some companies want to stay small) Look at Nintendo - the were ge...

How many times has some article from a foreign language been incorrectly interpreted? In a day or so, we'll get the "correct" translation.

And the correct translation will be nothing controversial or news-worthy. Its not worth getting upset about. For that matter NO video game news is worth getting upset about - its a FRIGGIN' hobby! (A hobby I love, but get some perspective, people!)

I own it for the Xbox - beat it. It was good, but not great enough to deserve a re-make.

It is inevitable in ANY industry that you will disappoint a few customers from time to time due to unforseeable circumstances.

What makes a company successful in the long run is its ability to keep those same customers that they let down by offering superior service. Sometimes screwing up and handling it right can earn you a lifetime customer.

Bungie did not have to do what they did in extending the beta. I appreciate it, I respect it, and it makes me feel goo...

I own Forza 1 - been playing it a lot recently since its BC on my 360 and I was getting psyched for Forza 2, but I have to say, although it plays great, I'm pretty disappointed with how it looks. Yes it looks better, but for me, it doesn't warrant another purchase for 60 bones.

I played a GTHD kiosk at Toys R Us last weekend, and the graphics were stunning - the background looked like a photo - it looked real. Forza 2 lacks something. Maybe its because of the damage modeling...
