There is only current gen, and previous gens. Next gen, upon release, becomes current gen. Also, since consoles don't release simultaneously, If you want to get technical, the Switch is a 9th gen machine. It is not unreasonable to say that whatever XBox and PS come up with next(including Switch 2) if given enough time could be 10th gen machines.
Many of us Nintendo fans have been around since the 80s. we even reach into our 40s and still love nintendo games. They cater to everyone if people take the time to look and not worry about how they look.
This service is a third of the price(ignoring discounts) of the competitors. As long as you aren't expecting a $60 service for $20, then I think everyone should be OK. Think what you would be willing to remove from the competitors service for half the cost. If they are similar, then either Nintendo is charging too little or the competitors are charging too much.
If you don't have a gaming PC or at least a newish one, you simply cannot play all the games you want at the quality you want. I gave up PC gaming about 10 years ago just because I was tired of games either not working at all and requiring tweaking just to boot up or performance was uneven and required tweaking to find the optimal settings. Some people love this about PC gaming, but I can't be bothered with it anymore. Bottom line, PCs aren't consoles and all PCs are not creat...
PS4 being down tells you just how strong it has sold in the past and continues to sell.
People that overgeneralize this product act like you are getting a stack of cardboard sheets and that is all. The engineering that went into this is pretty incredible, the instructions, the game, and most of all the experience of building that can take several hours, all contribute to the value of this product. It's like saying that an IKEA shelf is just a box of particle board, or a puzzle is just a bunch of cut up cardboard. It has a purpose.
Here is the issue. The Wii U version sold very poorly, not because it was on the Wii U, but because it just didn't appeal to the masses. For those of us that gave it a chance, it was fantastic, difficult, and for some better than Bayo 2. Could it find an audience on the Switch and easily outsell the Wii U version...probably if it was marketed well and perhaps with a presence in Smash or something, both cost more money. Is it a sure thing to make a strong or even decent profit, no. T...
The one I can play off TV portably is the best for me.
Labo and motion controls are more the future of gaming than a controller with two analog sticks. VR kind of requires motion controls. What about these types of kits like the robot after a few iterations to provide the necessary resistance, coupled with VR headsets to make VR more believable in the future. Or we can sit on a couch with a controller in our hands. What else has more potential for being the future of gaming?
So a delay for Switch is because of the Switch, but a delay on PS4 is because of developers. Am I getting this right. I want to be a proper troll.
File size would be an issue, but not a deal breaker. I can promise it wouldn't be 72gb on Switch, but it would be large. Expecting a game to run without sacrifice is just ridiculous. Whether that sacrifice is worth it to Switch owners is absolutely up to them. If it can run anywhwere close to 540-720p and 30fps, a great deal of us would still buy instantly and at full price, especially if it used the 64gb cart. People underestimate the power of portability over a "superior&qu...
How about we focus on facts and not try to fuel this ridiculous fanboy war. God of War is a great game. The article isn't trying to compare games or anything, why are we? Games of this quality happening frequently are a really good thing for gaming.
It depends on the developer/publisher if a game is successfull or not if it meets an expected return on investment. People here like to pretend they know more or have some kind of insight. Since we don't know the budget, the expectations of either the developer or the publisher or any deals made between the two, we simply don't know. There is no scale. Everything here is fueled by some made up console war, so you can't believe anyone here honestly. Being that Bayo 3 is coming...
Let's hope they have motion assist aiming out of the box this time.
Sine we knew a Switch port was coming, I held off on playing on X1. I'll do that for anything I know is coming to the Switch. off tv is that much of a game changer for me...that and motion aiming that I expect to be in this version.
Yes
no one cared that it was free on Wii U before despite it working fine for a free service. Does anyone expect them to improve and bring them up to snuff without having additional costs? Before we even know what is included for a fraction of the cost of the competitors?
Someone is going to have to explain the friend code issue, as I've never entered a friend code and have tons of friends on my Switch. Also, if I'm missing something, how is this different from gamertags and what not?
People need to temper expectations for online that is a third of the price of the competitors. Sales and discounts of xboxline and psnow notwithstanding. If it is great though, let the comparisons begin for getting your money's worth from those other services.
Expect many more ports, simply due to lack of a disc drive. Eventually we might get ports of Twilight princess HD and WW HD. Those should be easy since they were already made and wouldn't require as much work. My personal choice first would be Skyward Sword as it needs something to unmuddy the textures. To me, it was near perfect, but if there is some kind of option to appease the "I hate motion controls" crowd, it will do well.
